Personalized Menu at Narcoosees just an FYI

Just to let you know I finally got a call back for our large group booking. She was very nice and took alot of information from me for booking a 40th Birthday party for our grand gathering in November. The CM let me order a personalized menu and alot of special treats from the bakery. I just wanted to let everyone know you could have a special menu here too like at Coral Reef. I have never seen that mentioned on the boards before. So just a heads up. There was no charge for this. I am sooooo excited!!!

Ooohhh, we are going for my daighter's 14th birthday. She picked it out and that would be awesome to have a personalized menu for her.

We have personalized menus from our summer 2007 visit there. I did nothing in the way of a request. My nephew's 6th bday was noted in our general Disney trip record. When we arrived for our first night dinner he was presented with a bday button. When we were handed our menus we were shocked and delighted to find they had added "Happy 6th Birthday Zeke" to the top. He was in awe asking "how'd they do that?" What a great start to our trip.

I had no intention of double booking. Numbers wise it was not possible and the grand gathering line wont let you split the party up.(It was for 10 adults and 3 kids) It was just getting me a little nuts not being able to plan the 40th birthday the entire family is going down for. The girl who called back was really just the nicest CM I have ever talked with. The number I called was:407-824-1400 but that was for the large parties line. Maybe call the regular number and make sure they do the menu. You can also order anything from the GF bakery for your birthday dessert. Now I am off to research some more options for our celebration. Oh, I've already had the Narcoossee's treatment and am excited for you to have the same. We got the personalized (not customed items, just printing) menu, Wishes, etc. You are in very good hands!

Have you ever ordered the mini castle cake or booked the Grand for a wishes cruise after dinner? I dont know what else to add to that night. I am very excited to try this place out. We loved Jiko an Cali Grill but have never made it over to Narcoosees for some reason. I still cant believe how incredibly nice the CM was to me. She must have had the proper traditions training. LOL.

No, we were total DP Newbies and were just floored by the level of service, food and atmosphere at this place. We did take the water launch over from the MK transportation center. It was a really cool ride. After dinner we got back on the boat; next stop was the Poly we got off and took a stroll through the Poly. We took the monorail back to MK then a bus back to our resort. All in all a magical evening. By the way, the MK boat launch let's you off right at Narcoossee's, just a short walk up the path to the restaurant entry.

Someone in the group MUST order the YOAMD dessert. It is beautiful and delicious. I actually saw my mother's jaw drop when it was brought to the table. I was so full I did my best to share the kid's banana split with my nephew. I had a Mango smoothie as my beverage, oh my was it tasty and refreshing. My mother got a pot of herbal tea as her beverage; a nice after dinner choice. The current basic DP doesn't include an appetizer, but I highly recommend the crab cakes.

Thanks for the tips septbaby. I am definately trying out those crabcakes since I know my son will steal most of my lobster but I am not buying a whole one for a 3 year old. LOL. If we take the monorail over will it be a long walk from there? We are staying at the CR and that is probably the easiest way over there. I have not been at the Grand in probably 10 years. That seems kinda crazy now that I think about it. We had the PareFare breakfast in 99. Now I really feel old.
