Oh good, it wasn't just me? I'm guessing now it was an automated email set to go out once they'd assigned the location numbers. I emailed Dean back saying I spoke to him yesterday and got the "program is closed" spiel, and does this email change that? Guess we'll see if he replies.

What e-mail exactly? I haven't received anything since last week while conversing with Denise, when everything was hunky dory.

I'm still shocked/disappointed/depressed, but that could be lack of sleep (had to work on something overnight Monday, haven't caught up yet), but I put up an article on my rant blog: Disney takes money, cancels program, goes silent

Hopefully Disney will "do the Disney thing" and make it all good...

Well ... my DH and I dawdled on choosing what to be on our brick and never got our application in. Perhaps I am naive (or just stupidly hopeful) but I think there is a chance that the program will go through for people who already had their CC charged. Has anyone actually had their card refunded?

On the same vein ... what has happened to people who sent in their application after 5/31 but not charged? Has Disney contacted you? I am thinking about sending in the application anyway hoping against hope that they will indeed re-open the program and that my application will then be accepted.

I have no idea if this will apply to everyone, but I received an email this morning giving me the location of my brick. Since I'd just talked to Dean yesterday and was told I'd be issued a refund, I emailed him back asking if this changed that, or it was just an automated thing.

This was his response, just a couple of minutes ago:

They asked me to get in contact with everyone. Yes. You will be receiving your pathstone.

I hope everyone is going to be so lucky - I wonder if the higher-ups heard the complaints and decided to go ahead with it anyway?

ETA: By the way, I faxed my app on May 25.

Does anyone know what location "EA" denotes?

I JUST got the email as well. It's a pretty plain email, mine was from Dean, saying that we will receive a certificate of authenticity and a map of where our pathstone will be, and then gives the pathstone number. I emailed back as well and am hoping to hear from him soon.

I would guess that if they were cancelling the program they would have been smart enough to stop the automatic sending of the emails, but who knows. Hopefully this is a good sign!

OK, I'll stop being a post hog, but when I replied back to Dean asking him where my brick was (it starts with "EA") this is what he said:

Outside the security gate close to guest relations, before entering the magic kingdom.

I sincerely hope everyone who applied got one, especially those of you who were ordering them for special occasions. I have all my fingers crossed for you!

I, too, faxed my application on 5/25. I also got the e-mail only minutes ago and it has been confirmed that I will be receiving my brick as well!!!! All I can say is hallelujah, I think Disney heard us and I hope that everyone else gets the same results.

If your brick number starts with EA it is safe to assume you are on the MK exit walkway as this is where mine will (apparently) be located. Feel free to PM me with the specific number is you wish, and I can try to figure it out for you (I have the map!).

brandt79~Thanks for the update. I didn't email Dean because my friend did so I figured I'd give him/them one less email to read. I bet she got the same reply that you did, she is at work so she can't check email as much.

I was cautiously optimistic that the powers that be would come through for us all, and I am really glad that they did!

My brick begins with "WA", anyone know where that is??

I'm holding out hope. I faxed mine in on the 30th, and my CC has been charged (with no refund yet).

I faxed mine on the 30th, cc charged that afternoon & I got my email from Dean this morning! My brick is in the WA area! WOW! This is great news! Thanks to those who emailed Dean back! I'm sure he's getting bombarded w/emails, so I'll just go off what you all said & do a little dance on my brick!!

Good luck Jason! I know your's was a wedding gift! Keep us posted!!

I just emailed back to ask about the granite thing. These are just regular bricks, not the granite ones. Oh well, I'm just happy to get one! Plus, more reason to go back every few years to check up on it Mine is an "EA" block.. I'll wait to see if the map can be posted to check it out. I dont' want to wait for my letter!

WA is the pathway to the left heading towards the front of MK. EA is the path to the right leaving the MK.
