Does anyone put up Christmas Lights,
(((((((Sorry, .....nondenominational winter event illuminations. :rotfl2: ))))))
in your room, balcony or in the room window during your holiday visit.

We are already bringing our Christmas stockings but now DS wants to bring a string of lights.

Lights ;) on the tree we bring and on the railing of our balcony, We bring too many decorations and usually buy more on some random trip to Walgreens for something :teeth:

We are checking in to CSR today and we have a tree, stockings, lights and window clings! :confused3

We are looking forward to decorating our room when we get there.

If you really want to see a winter holiday lights, take the hayride around Fort Wilderness. I know the campers put on quite a show at Halloween, so I can only assume they do the same with their nondenominational winter holiday display.

Last year we went to WDW in December and friends of ours brought a little decorated tree with them.

I just told DH that we are going to have to go to Disney for Christmas...the only problem is I work in retail....and no vacations are allowed in November or December.

We take a small Christmas tree, lights for the balcony, an inflatable Tigger for the balcony and last year my husband made a Mickey head out of the light up balls to hang in the slider. It wouldn't be Christmas without decorations even at Disney. It really helps with the mood. A lot of people do decorate and the campground is amazing!! We went over there and on the bus ride inside the resort it is incredible how much decorating those people do at their campsites! It is like what people do to their yards at home!

Have a great time! There is nothing like WDW at Christmastime!!

We took a string of lights and a little bear band electronic thing that played Christmas (sorry, holiday) music. We put those in the window facing out. Left everything on during the day. Except for one day when I forgot. When we got back, mousekeeping had turned everything on for us. It wasn't much but it was a joy coming back from the parks and seeing five little bear heads "bobbing" to the music.

Last year we got carried away with way too many decorations. This year we are only bringing our Christmas advent candles, a decorated tree, our Mickey Christmas carol band, a lighted nativity and stuffed characters in holiday attire besides Christmas table cloths and of course our stockings!

Too funny!!! :rotfl: I'll have to remember that one. I think we're going to bring some nondenominational winter holiday illuminations for our balcony when we go in 11 days!!

Well This is our first trip to WDW during Christmas, we arrive X-mas day, Hubby thought i was crazy but is letting me anyway, I bought a little tree at Target to decorate also found battery operated itty bitty tiny lights for the tree(Walgreens 3.99) I bought some jellies and those cligy things for the window may have to go back for more and I may bring a string of lights, I am pretty excited to see how many do the same at my resort, I hope to take pictures if I can......Oh and I plan on going to home depot and getting my lime green mickey ears as well and making them into ornaments for my little tree...... princess:

Very cool idea :cool1:

I don't go anywhere without my Christmas lights, any time of the year. They are wicked festive, and I use the excuse that they make great night lights for the kids. :D

I'm taking a Pooh and friends CHRISTMAS tree and some CHRISTMAS window clings. This will be our first CHRISTMAS at WDW!

How do you all hang up the decorations? I'm guessing your not hammering nails into the walls.. do you use those 3M hanger things?

Good question I am interested in this too

......because of this thread we are now bringing all kinds of things down with us: lights, stockings, a little tree and I am sure a few more things that we decide on before we leave.

I bring a four 1/2 foot pre lighted tree, three boxes of mickey head ornaments, 2 boxes of regular ornaments, a wreath for the door, lights for the window, our stockings, tablecloth, Christmas (I'm not PC either) bowls for cereal, Mickey and Minnie "Santa's Cookie" plate, and Christmas CD's, and a box of presents. I ship a box of Santa presents for DD. The first time I took a tree it was a little 1 foot thing. The next yeat it was a little larger. Then larger until -- I would really like to get a big one this year but DH said it won't fit in the car with our luggage and everything else I have to take so I'll stick with my 4 1/2 footer.

Christmas at WDW is wonderful.

My son and I will be at AS Sports next week and I will be lugging a third suitcase filled with just decorations-a small tree, lights for the window, bead garland, our Sorcerer Mickey stockings and Santa Mickey and a few other things. I just have to have the Holiday feeling from home with me!

I don't use hangers - I use what is in the room. Curtain rods, lights (the megaphone light at Sports makes and *awesome* 'tree.') draping over televisions, anything. I do bring tape, but it doesn't stick too well and I've never found purchase for the hangers, so stopped bringing them.

:rotfl: you guys are too much fun....i love the idea about bringing the Christmas lights anytime of the year....we'll be packing some for our Feb...trip...!!!! thanks for all the great ideas...... :lovestruc
