How rude!!!! Actually it's just the opposite of what you are suggesting. The only people who I know that still write checks are 70+ years old. I would never dream of writing a check in a store......how time consuming and archaic.
I'm well below 70 years old and I write checks ALL THE TIME!!
We used to have an ATM card but I was terrible about remembering to write the amount down in the check register, so we had a few overdrafts so quit using the ATM.
Don't want a debit card because I would forget to write the transactions down and would have the same problem.
And I don't want to use the credit card because it has a ZERO BALANCE and we want to KEEP IT THAT WAY!!
And most larger stores print the checks for you, all you have to do is sign it, so it's NOT that "time consuming".
