Everyday at my job people pay with checks. Usually it's not a problem, but yesterday I had two "problems" with people when they paid.
1) (And this is the lesser offense.) I had a lady write me a check, and she dated it 5/3. This was on 5/4, so I asked her to please change it. She was like "it doesn't matter if it's yesterday's date on there, you can still cash it." Yes, we could still "cash it," but, the computer prints the date on the back of the check after we process it, and I could get in trouble if the dates don't match. Anyway, she decided she'd rather argue about it for a few minutes until she finally did change the date.
2) A guy wrote a check. I asked to see his ID. (Which is what we always do.) He didn't want to show me his ID. So I called a manager over, and he argued with her. She can't do anything either, so they have to call the next high-up manager, who also says he has to show ID.
Anyway, he would not show ID, and ended up walking out. Who the heck wastes that much time shopping, then arguing, just because they don't want to show ID?
Plus we had to re-shelf everything he left, so even after he was gone he still wasted our time.

I know that she didn't have a car, so she had to walk every time this happened.
