Person who does not knoe Africa is continent...almost VP!!!

And some people wonder why I've told flower giving OS where to put those flowers.:sad2:

Palin was thrown under the bus. I find it disgusting.

Sure, and I agree with you.Its shameful and sad and I don't like to see the Republican party having to deal with this.

A thread with a discussion about this is one thing, but its the continued personal bashing and making fun of, In your face silliness that I find ridiculous, ineffective and completely childish.

I'm not believing any of this crap and I'm surprised there's so much resentment for Palin, that so many on this thread are being so GULLIBLE! I don't think Palin was a great pick either, but c'mon - people who work on political campaigns are the most competitive, ruthless people imaginable. If they win great, but if they lose they are bitter people trying to save face and place blame anywhere they can. They're too gutless to even let their names be printed.

The media should be ashamed of themselves for giving this story any legs. It says a lot when the only person willing to give their name is the woman (Palin) defending herself. What's next? MySpace pages for anonymous McCain staffers who want to trash Palin?

You know if anything as a Republican this is worthy of discussion.

It would be nice to see some truth come out. These "un-named sources" could be full of it.

Frankly, I think that those who are saying tha they didn't vote for McCain because of Palin, wouldn't have voted for him, no matter who he picked.

I didn't read the replies to this whole thread but I am so angry at the fact that "fair and balanced" Bill O'Reilly said if Palin didn't know Africa was a country she could be trained on such trivial matters and in the long run it didn't matter. Trained? Even a 7 year old knows this. Her ignorance is a symptom of something far, far bigger and O'Reilly was making excuses for her! .

Biden/Obama made 3-5 gaffs out of 1000s of interviews/press conferences.

Palin had only 2 real interviews and did so well she cost McCain the entire bump he got from the convention.

Actually there were many more than "3 to 5 gaffes", but what really concerns me is what Obama didn't know...during the debate with Charles Gibson. He plans on raising the capital gains tax, not because it will raise more revenue, because Gibson clearly pointed out and demonstrated that raising the capital tax will reduce revenues to the treasury; BUT because its "the fair thing to do". His redistribution comments as well indicated the way in which the economy works. Those two issues alone are extremely concerning.

"3-5"??? "1000s"??? I would point out your obvious exaggerations and the fact that Obama had to hide Biden during the home stretch of the campaign he was so bad, but that would lend credence to the laughable notion that the anonymous "Judas" staffers weren't lying in the first place.

As I heard another person say: "If some of the McCain staffers were as good at playing the actual game of politics as well as they are at playing office politics.... McCain might have won!!!"

More info is starting to come out about some of the ugliness between the McCain and Palin camps.

As usual, it appears to be much ado about nothing. My favorite quotes?

But "she knows it's a continent," Stapleton said. "It was just a human mistake, just like Obama saying 57 states. I don't think anyone ever doubted that Obama knows there are 50 states."

The only items Palin remembers requesting from staff are toothpaste and coats for cold weather, Stapleton said.

As conservatives, we are accustomed to having to endure multiple negative news cycles before a clear picture develops. This explains our disdain for the media in general......

Amd who says Barney the dog didn't know what he was doing. I say, bring all of the MSM to the lawn of the White House and set Barney loose!

Wait.....Africa isn't a country? :confused3

;) :lmao:

I can't believe that the Palin/McCain bashing is still going on. The election was 3 days ago. Get over it already.

Once again this was from FOX NEWS Carl Cameron...it was his report, his sources.....something tells me fox news has good mccain campaign sources

I would love to hear the tape about Palin and what she said about Africa. OH, wait a minute, no tape is out there, so no proof. Need proof!

Tell that to your own party.

The reason we are talking about it is because it is surreal the way YOUR OWN PARTY is beating her up.

For what it's worth Mystery Machine, I'm a registered democrat who voted for McCain and I happen to like Palin.

It was republicans from McCain's campaign that leaked this garbage to the press and it was a democrat who posted it so I'd say there's blame to go around to both parties for this new round of Palin bashing.

And before you tell ME to do anything, know what YOU'RE talking about first.

Have a great day.

I didn't read through the whole thread but we have a VP elect who thought that FDR was POTUS in 1929?:rotfl:

We also have a president elect who isn't quite sure about the number of states that make up the US.:lmao:

The first lady to be-I guess she's still proud of the US? She'll probably change her mind the first time the MSM call her husband out on something he does.:headache:

I, personally, lost a lot of respect for McCain after he put Palin on his ticket. I believe it is smart for the Republicans to distance themselves as far from this train wreck of a woman as possible and attempt to save face after a disastrous election year.

I guess since you did not read through the whole tread you may have missed my post on page 7 of this thread.

I will repete it.......

Just an FYI:

All of the canidates have made gaffes at one time or another.
Even McCain.

Here are just a couple of his:

Sen. John McCainsaid “Iraq” when he apparently meant “Afghanistan”, adding to a string of mixed-up word choices that is giving ammunition to the opposition.

McCain has also mistaken "Somalia" for "Sudan," and even football’s Green Bay Packers for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

----------------------------------------

I tend to blame a lot of these gaffes on jet lag.

Just my 2 cents.

re: McCain Campaign = TRAINWRECK
re: Sarah Palin = SCAPEGOAT
re: Condolezza Rice (and others of her caliber)= TOO INTELLIGENT TO RUN FOR AN ELECTED OFFICE!!!

re: Obama = Like it or not HE WILL BE PRESIDENT effective January 20th.

FWIW - While I did not vote for either Rep. or Dem. - I am waiting with bated breath on the direction this country will go. I hope to see positive turns and to see this country prosper and grow -

If you saw him speak at LU in May 2006 you might have realized he could have lost your respect much earlier.

Seriously as a former McCain supporter, I am so disppointed that he had to swallow his vomit and hook up with the Moral Majority.

That is not McCain, however the Republican party had made it a "rule" that you must reign in the Christian Right.

I will not be sad to see them go and I want our country back going after pressing issues that are critical.

Yes, a more moderate Republican Party will put them in a good position for a real run at the 2012.

I do want that back.
