I'm booking a package deal for my son and I to go down in a couple months. Is it possible for my husband to check in for a few nights (that may be all he can do) separately with tickets purchased separately? And if so, will they link those tickets to a magic band when he arrives?

You can add your husband at check in. The only bad thing is he won't be able to use DME.

Okay, thanks - didn't think about DME. What about linking his ticket at the resort to a magic band?

You can buy him a ticket and link it separately as soon as you buy it, you don't have to wait until you get there. However, he will not be able to make fastpass reservations 60 days out because he will not be on the resort reservation, his would have to be made at 30 days. If you wait to get him a ticket until you arrive, he can't have any fastpass reservations before then.

Unfortunately if you add him to the package before arrival, he will have to get the same package components as the rest of you, same length of tickets and dining plan if you have one.

If you add him after arrival, you can still book Magical Express for him from the front desk. ME is to be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
