Just picked up an Ohana reservation for a party of eight for one night next week at 8:15 pm. I wasn't necessarily looking for it -- just skimming to see what was available and there it was. Haven't been in a few years, so we're looking forward to going back.

And I really can spell perseverance, but I have no idea how to edit the thread title!

Congrats! I love that feeling of "YES!!!!ITS MINE!!!!" Enjoy!

we did that two weeks before our visit to the house of the mouse...and changed Crystal Palace from a saturday night to a friday night and then changed it (by calling) the time to an earlier one...I keep telling people ..KEEP TRYING...good going

Great find! Did you use the app or website to find it?

I was using the website. I go on a few times a day to see what's there. I've seen Be Our Guest PPO breakfast and dinner ressies, 1900 Park Faire, Akershus breakfast, Ohana breakfast. It's interesting how frequently the inventory changes. And I'm searching for a party of eight, which you'd expect to be more difficult by nature.

The lesson I've learned from this is always keep checking!

We have found that things clear up a week or so out and less and more availability appears, particularly the day before. I have speculated this is because those companies out there who book up all the reservations and then "sell" them have excess inventory and start cancelling them so as not to be charged.

If you show up early for your reservation at 1900 Park Fare, is there any chance that you'll be seated?

My experience at 1900 Park Faire is that they always run late, so I usually am seated AFTER my reservation time (buffet, and people wait to meet all the characters, which causes delays.)...and that is with a reservation close to opening time (dinner!)

I'm a little worried that our reservation is too late for our four year old (8:45pm) and was hoping that they would take us earlier. It sounds like that wont happen. Thanks for the info!

I don't think they will sit you early since you are seated in groups. We usually have to wait 10-15 minutes before being seated at 1900 ParkFare.

Perhaps, if you have the time, you could see if something earlier opens up!...I also really like calling! I think the dining line people look different ways, or have suggestions that could be really helpful! That said, maybe you could just plan to go back to the room for a nap around 2, and that would refresh her for the evening.
