Perks for return customers

I think they should give us a 90% discount. This would really help fill the occupancy.

If they can't do that, I think each person should get a $500 on board credit since that would really help the shipboard sales. Maybe first time cruisers would see all of us buying and join in like a feeding frenzy.

Or perhaps they could just ensure they put together a top quality program which allows us to relax and enjoy our time on-board and leaves us yearning for more.

Btw, I drive a toll road evertyday, sometime two or three times a day. They never give me a discount. Nor does the supermarket, pharmacy. mutual fund company where my 401k is, in fact very few companies do anything special for repeat cruisers.

I think having a seperate check-in line (when shorter), a reception and a token gift are pretty generous of DCL.

Nobody asked, just my opinion.

Thanks to this thread I am on hold with DCL now getting my numbers which I misplaced. My last cruise was waaaaaaaaaaaay too long ago (Nov. 1999). :p

I wonder what others feel about DCL only giving ONE beach towel to reward ALL return cruisers in the same cabin?

They leave two pins and cocktail invitations for all guests, but only one Castaway Club towel. Who is supposed to keep ownership of the towel after the cruise? It might me easy for a couple or husband/wife. You should see two gown up kids fighting for it. We could not even buy one to settle the dispute.

With the cost of a cruise, and in particular Disney Cruise is priced at a premium, they should at least reward each return cruiser the same.

The beach towel goes to MOM! If you have two staterooms (like we have to) they go to MOM and DAD!

The best perk for return customers....

Being able to be recognized by CM's and made to feel like you are one of "the family"

Next best perk - meeting people on line and then in person!~

Third best perk - cruising with people you become friends with then cruising with them again!!!!

Now that's perks!

The world truly becomes a very small place then doesn't it. :)

we have two staterooms...does that mean we'll get two towels? that would be cool...we have twin boys that will be 5 yo...that will solve the problem of who gets the towel

Kyle

You will get two towels and 4 pins. As long as someone in each cabin is a repeat cruiser.

I hope the beach towel is the same one as last year. My DD's fight over the one we have, so in 4 weeks we should get another one! Then they will each have one. Eventually we should all get one.

BTW, if there isn't one in our room, can we call and ask for a towel? We booked through DVC this time and I am not sure if I told them we were a repeat cruiser (this will be our 4th cruise).

I'm a first ever cruiser, but my daughter is a repeat and she never received a castaway member card...

I mentioned this to DU when I was booking our cruise, but I think I may have to mention it again... they should be able to find out what her number is. On a previous thread, I was told, that we should be able to check in at the Castaway members lines even though I'm a newbie... and she is entitled to a gift... Because I know we'll be fighting over the beach towel, next cruise, I'll get the gift!!!

Barb - 33 cruises - if they were all on the Wonder, that means you have had HOW MANY DAYS at sea?

Between 99 and 132 days!!!!

WHEW! I think you are right - the Barb and Tony Suite has to become a reality!

God bless you and may you keep on cruising!

Rae

Most were three days, but there are four 7-days and two 4-days mixed in there somewhere, so according to Tony, we have spent 117 days at sea on Disney so far (soon to be 120). We did four cruises on RCCL, but we don't count them.
We'll hit 35 at the end of this year, and we'll be over 40 by the end of 2004 :D It will be a while, but maybe we'll eventually hit a whole year!

you and Tony deserve a huge discount!! has DCL considered how much $$ you've "donated" to them???

I have two staterooms...my wife and I in one...my two sons in the other with Grandma...in order to get towels in each room...do I need to tie two different Castaway club numbers to the reservation...or can I just use one?\

Thanks
