Hello, I have been using the perk app for a couple weeks now only on 1 device and only for an hour or 2 a day. I just read that multiple devices can be ran at the same time so now have gotten my oldest daughter to add the app to her ipod. For those of you that are getting the Walmart gift card, is it an ecard with the code or do they mail you an actual fgiftcard? If they are doing the ecard is everybody having success taking it to their local Walmart and not getting any static about it?

I always go to customer service and exchange for a plastic card so use at Murphy USA Express so i can use at the gas station.

On swagbucks I usually cash out for paypal. I see on perk $5dollar pp is 6000 points everything else is 5000. Kind of a rip off. Are there any that send you an actualgift card or is it all electronic

Woot! I just cashed out for my first $5 Amazon gift card for 5,000 points. It took almost exactly 3 days (I actually had almost 6,000 points), running 2 devices.

I'd estimate somewhere between 15 and 18 hours a day. I only have 3 Mbps DSL, so it was really slowing our internet down for "normal" usage, even though I changed the settings to low bandwidth. There was probably about a 12 hour period that I had 3 devices running PerkTV, but it made our internet almost unusable for the computer and streaming TV.

Ive been doing swag bucks for years now and just signed up for perkTV. I only did it for a few hours and got 600. Im trying to figure this out? So I can run it all day and it will just keep going? I know swagbucks only allows 50 points, but PerkTV doesn't have a limit? That's crazy! I only have the ipad to run it on ( DH says NO on the phones ). Im planning on saving up for a Disney card from target! I just cashed out my swagbucks for one and am half way to another there. Just seems like it would take longer?

I have 2 'full time' devices that run 24 hours and day - and 3 that we run part time including all night when we sleep.

Max 5 devices per account is the only limit.

maybe your husband would be ok with you using WIFI on the phones ( at least on your phone) when you sleep.

"Average" is $1 per device per day ( a day being 24 hours)

I just signed up for perk tv yesterday, ran it most of the evening and it does not look like I received a single point. Am I doing something wrong??? Or does it take that long to earn points? I ran the app trailers and this morning when I checked it it showed I had only watched one video.

I cash out every 5000 points for a $5 Target gift card. You never know if/when you might lose the points or your Perk account!! They pay out every Monday, Wednesday & Friday (I think). I cashed out yesterday and it will be available tomorrow. Much quicker than Swagbucks!! You can combine the gift cards on the Target phone app.

Maybe you're not logged in? That's weird! I know my phone logs me out after a while, I have no idea why! You should get 4 perk points for every 2 videos, I think.

I thought about not being logged in but it looked like I was. Maybe I need to try logging out and then log back in. I left my ipad running while at work so we will see when I get home! Thanks for the tip!

10 bucks for free !
I still have 4000 points so I should be able to do that every other day I think ,
they seem to go slower or make less sometimes maybe the movie stuff
Thanks you guys for telling me about It -This is weird but If I got that 10 bucks for doing nothing like picking up someone's mail or whatever I probably wouldn't even care but....I LOVE FREE - or maybe that I know it's just a slush fund for Disney that makes me happy

The gift card comes by email, within 1 or 2 business days.

At the beginning, I was running it on my iPad and Samsung tablet. Then I started thinking that maybe those devices would die faster if they were basically running non-stop. I don't know if that is true, but it certainly makes sense to me. So, now I'm just running 2 old (deactivated) smart phones. I just received my 2 free (after reward) phones from Boost today.

I'm not willing to chance it. My iPad was over $700, so it's not worth the risk to me.

I'm confused how would it damage the iPad by leaving it run let's say over night it is not a chance I'm willing to take either if it would cause my iPad to break down

I do think that the lifespan of an iPhone/iPad is tied to the battery life, since those batteries can't be replaced. It was once reported than an iPhone lasts for 400 full charges, but then I read that after 400 full charges it only drops to about 80% battery power, the phone doesn't actually stop working. It does stand to reason that the more an iPhone or iPad runs these apps, the more it needs to be charged, which might shorten its lifespan. The question, for me, is would it still last longer than I'm apt to use that device anyway? I don't upgrade constantly, but I probably will upgrade every 3-4 years.

I'd like to know more about getting free phones from Boost mobile. I like the idea of getting cheap devices to dedicate to this task. how does that work?

Honestly, your iPad is likely to become technologically obsolete before it's going to "break down" from running videos on it. Unless you're keeping it in an unusually hot environment, I wouldn't worry about this. But then again, I don't buy devices like this expecting to keep them for years and years so YMMV.
