I remember when I was a kid there was a store in Magic Kingdom where you went in and picked different scent and they made perfume for you. Anyone else remember this?
I sure do remember it! I went in 1975 and again in 1977. I remember that the store that sold the perfume was in the Liberty Square area where the Christmas and silhouette-art shop are now. I was thrilled when my mom let me create my perfume! I can remember bringing home the bottle and not even using it all so that I could take a sniff from time to time that would wisk me back to WDW!
I can also remember walking through this area in the past couple of years and telling my daughters about it! I know my younger DD would love to do something like that!
There is some kind of perfume shop in the French pavilion at WS. I know you can get perfume there but I am not sure if you can mix your own or not. I am sure it is very pricey!!
I remember the Perfume Shop. It was a lovely shop with many different fragrances to mix and match. My aunt thought I was insane because I wanted to mix gardenia and coconut in mine. It smelled great to me but then again I was around 8. The best part was the CM writing my name and the "formula" for my perfume in a huge book. She said if I ever wanted more, all I had to do was call and they would make more up for me. I never did call, but I was sad to see the shop go. I really miss those quaint little shops that dotted MK. Now they are all selling the same items. Perhaps Disney will bring them back one day.
