Perfectly Princess Tea Party

Is it really worth the $225 plus tax, money is not really the issue. I am just wondering for those who have gone if you have found it worth it. What is the doll like? Does anyone have pictures of it? Can you buy other clothes for the dolls in the parks/resort? I think I remember reading somewhere that is was like an American Girl doll.

It is a lot of money. I would do it all over again though. It was well worth the money. The doll is cute, and the way they present everything is just awesome. (I will look and see if I can find a pic of it). There are clothes you can buy for the doll and there is even a store there in GF that has some. If money is no object, I would definately say go for it! I wish I could do it again and again...

It is a lot of $$$, but I think a good bit of that is in the cost of the doll. It's not an American Girl doll, but it is Disney's version of that kind of doll and it costs over $100.

It is also a lengthy affair. It lasted over an hour, I believe.

The girls are lined up outside of the room, and called up one by one as "Princess _______". They are crowned and shown to their table, where there are personalized placecards. Once there, they are asked to flick open their napkin, upon which a charm bracelet with a pink heart charm falls out. They receive the doll, and then "Rose Petal" performs for some time -- a story with songs and such. She's VERY good. There are some other minor characters, as well. You're served tea and the snack (can't really call it a meal, but it's cute), and eventually Aurora shows up. I haven't been to another event on Disney property where you get SO much one on one time with a character. It culminates in Aurora leading the children in a dance around the room. Very cute.

Having only boys (now grown), I was able to treat my niece to this a couple years ago and I felt it was worth it. Wonderful memories for us.

I've thought of doing this for DD and her daddy -- they love going to tea together. I'm allergic to wheat so going to tea isn't as 'fun' for me b/c I can't eat all the tasty treat (although I'm sure Disney would find some way to make it for me).

But, has anyone sent DH with his princess? Are there ever dads? I've seen a few pix but have yet to spot dad.

Any insight?

I did see a couple of dads when I went. I tried to get dh to go, but he insisted my dmom go. They actually involved one of the dads in the story. It was cute! I made sure to tell dh about this! He should go, or call GF & see if they can make special arrangements.

Its adorable,pricey for us, but very adorable, DD5 LOVED every MINUTE of it.
Doll is same approx size as Amer Girl doll, WDW sells lots of clothing for doll at lots of on property stores,main st and DTD. Just be aware that Aurora only shows up towards the end of the party and while the girls do meet with her she isnt there too long, if u are there with an AURORA admirer dont play Aurora up too much or she may be dissappointed. If $ is no prob definately go, (and invite us! Please! )

We loved it...it was awesome...when you arrive your little girl is announced and sprinkled with rose petals...just AWESOME

We did this in '06 w/ our girls. They really enjoyed it, the doll is like the American Girl doll, we got her Belle & Ariel outfits at the gift shop before leaving. They are very hard plastic though, DD fell out of bed and landed on her when we were home and broke her collar bone

The tea is very fancy, we were seated w/ another party which was diappointing at 1st but they were nice. DH was one of the only guys so he got to be "Prince" for the story - Briar Rose is very talented and made it fun, Auroras visit was brief, she gave the girls each a rose & posed for pics.
We are considering doing it again, I do think its pricey but for everything you get its very fair.
The food was so-so, bread dry, cake very good! My girls were so entranced by the theatrics of Briar ROse they didnt eat much. DH was hungry afterwards of course!

It's not that is no object, but compared to some of the other thins we "waste" money on. Talked to DH about it today and he said go for it, he didn't even ask the price, I think he thinks its on the level of the Pirate Cruise DS did a couple years ago ($30). But since I handle the books at our house he will never know So it looks like we are a go

I did this with my DD 2 years ago. It was priceless. She was so thrilled. She really did not get alot of play factor out of the doll, but to see her so happy, it was still worth the price for me. It is one of my favorite disney memories

What age is the best to take a DD to this? We're starting to plan a trip for the fall when my DD will be a little over 4. A friend of mine took her DD to this last fall when the girl was just over 3 and told me that I should really consider doing this on our next trip. I was thinking that I would wait until she was more like 5 or 6. Any thoughts?

I took my DGDs two years ago....the experience is priceless. Make sure you allow your Princess to were one of her princess costumes. Only a couple of little girls didn't and they were disappointed the didn't have the dresses like the other little girls. You have been given a pretty good discreption by "itchin2go". We also received princess scrapebook pages. I was an awesome event!

Also...make ADRs 180 days out. I was told to call as soon as Disney opens...the tea party fills up very quickly.
