Hello, I'm coming with my girlfriend to Disneyland, California, next month. I've planned to propose her in Disney style. Tomorrow, I'm going to buy a princess cut, platinum diamond ring for the proposal. (http://www.pheradiamonds.com/shop/sola/) I wish to know what is the best ride or spot in Disneyland for proposing her. I doubt if the crowd would cause discomfort.

What is her favorite ride or spot? Our friends got engaged in Peter Pan because it was her favorite ride. We got engaged in Court of Angels in New Orleans Square because my now-husband knew it was my favorite spot.

First, congrats!! How exciting!! Does she have a favorite movie or character? Are you looking for something dramatic and ornate?

There are tons of great places in Disneyland. If you want something a little more private/less chaotic, there is Snow White's wishing well to the side of the castle. If you possibly want some pictures immediately after (or possibly even capture the moment), there are photopass photographers right in front of the castle you could utilize while proposing or the photographers in front of the partner's statue with Mickey and Walt in the background. There is also Mickey and Minnie's houses in Toontown with the characters at the end and a photopass photographer if you wanted to incorporate some characters. If she is into the princesses, there are the princesses in the Royal faire area to the left of the castle too.

If you want to do a proposal on a ride, many rides work well for a proposal. Some that come to mind are the Storybook Land Canal boats, It's a Small World, Autopia, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, and the carousel. For rides like Storybook and It's a Small World, if you get to the park at opening (and it doesn't have magic hour that morning) and head straight to the ride, often you can get a boat by yourself too so it's kind of like your own private ride.

The Blue Bayou restaurant is another great place to propose if you would want to do it during a meal. It's indoors with the beginning of the Pirates ride running through it and it has great ambiance. Just make sure to make your reservations well ahead of time for the restaurant. If you're visiting Disney California Adventure too, Carthay Circle is another great restaurant for a proposal.

There are several shows at both parks that could make a dramatic backdrop for a proposal including the fireworks (Disneyland) or world of color show (at Disney California Adventure). Those shows can be weather dependent and cancelled last minute as a FYI though.

There are other places around the resort grounds not in park that would be fantastic too, including the Rose Court Garden at the Disneyland Hotel (just make sure there isn't a wedding in progress).

I have heard about people contacting DFTW at Disneyland for their assistance (or direction to the appropriate department to contact) in crafting a really unique proposal. I'm not sure if and what assistance they can provide, but it might be worth looking into if you're looking for something unique.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure she'll love it and it will be an incredible memory for you both.

Thanks a lot @LadyD , I saw the Disneyland through your words. It's getting more confusing now. I think I'll propose her in Snow White's wishing well. She doesn't have a personal favorite princess, so it would be nice. After that we can take a picture.

Thank you very much for giving me so many ideas.
