Ok, for the VB Hipster bag...can you zip the bag closed when there's a water bottle in it or is the bottle too tall? From the looks of it, you can zip it. I just want to make sure. I also will put a washrag (face towel) around the bottle and secure it with a rubber band to make sure it doesn't sweat everywhere. It does look like a perfect park bag though.

Yes, you can zip the bag... my photos here show it zipped with a water bottle inside:

I carry a Molle Tactical Shoulder bag that can also be worn as a waist pack. I LOVE IT. It is light, small enough to be comfy but with lots of room. I wear it as a waist pack when I'm hiking or on any long cross country running.. it's that comfy. It is perfect for WDW with all the different compartments...it fits EVERYTHING for me and my DD and it's not bulky. I can go hands free or over my shoulder. My DH has quite a few Molle packs for various uses... they last forever.

Ordered it off ebay from a company in Australia... shipping was quick and product was just as pictured... and it was very inexpensive. I highly recommend this bag for WDW.

A lady showed up at my garage sale with the perfect park bag! It was a sling bag that rested across the front, with a zippered pocket for a cell phone and in a really cute pattern. I asked her where she got it and she makes them. The great thing about it is it's the perfect size and there's no need to turn it around to the front for rides and it's adjustable. I asked her for her website and she said she is not tech savvy and doesn't have a computer. But I did take some photos of it and will post them as soon as I find them.

If you post pics, I would love to try a prototype- my trip is in October and I'm looking for a good bag to make

I just got this one for my upcoming trip. Its from Sherpani

I saw someone earlier post that it might get itchy and scratchy. I never thought about that. I was thinking more of waterproof and that it was very roomy. I previously carried around a really cute FOSSIL purse that had a really long strap. It fit my camera and other small things. And it went across my chest. I wanted something new for this trip.

We also bring a backpack that we strap on the stroller and that always stays with the stroller. Valuables go in the purse with me. We have NEVER had anything taken from our backpack. We use it to carry snacks and water mostly.

Now I'm kinda wishing I got the VB Hipster...

I think it was me that said that. I had problems with the webbing of the Sherpani bag that I had (really loved the bag), but the strap was similar to that of a seatbelt, and would rub and dig into my neck - regardless how little I had in the bag - drove me crazy, and I knew I wouldn't be able to do a whole week at Disney like that. That's how I found the VB Hipster - I can't even tell that I am carrying a purse.

I got the ebags Piazza for our trip and I loved it. I got the chestnut color because I wanted DH to carry it sometimes!
I was able to use it on my shoulder, as a sling, and also it was great to hang on the stroller sometimes. It was big enough for my camera and a few snacks. What else I really liked is that it had a bottle pocket and even though it looked too small, it did work fine for a regular water bottle. There were lots of little pockets I didn't use.

I like to have my hands free. I also like to not have my shoulders and back hurt with a tote or backpack so I use a large Old Navy Fanny Pack. Hubs makes fun of me every time and in his weird contorted cartoon voice says..."Is that a Fanny Pack?"

Can't go wrong with it!

These bag suggestions are great but has anyone ever tried the Buxton Space saver sling bag at WDW? :confused3 You know the one on the commercial... Looks interesting :surfweb:

Does anybody know a store that sells Vera Bradley products and that actually ships to Canada? :confused3 I found a couple on E-bay, but the selection is limited.

Did you try Ebags? Or didn't that one work out?

I have a similar dilemma- I have a teal baggallini messenger that I have used on 3-4 trips and LOVE. I would like to get a new one in a "winter" color for my October trip.

But then, I was considering the VB hipster or the Overland Donner bag which everyone raves about... simply to try something new.

My problem with bags is that I have a large chest and I dislike the fact that the strap pushes my shirt inward between "the twins." But having a hands free bag is wonderful.

This trip, I will need a sweatshirt or long sleeved shirt with me every day as I get cold easily. I'm nearly positive I'm going to bring my DSLR with me which I carry most of the time and stick in my bag on rougher rides.

Will the VB Hipster hold a jacket/long sleeved shirt and my DSLR?

Should I stick with my Baggallini because I know everything and more will fit?

I would skip the OE Donner. I used it once, with water bottles, and it bothered my neck. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I have a large chest, too. I love the OE Placer, but it is small and doesn't hold water bottles. (We are still using a stroller, so I don't usually have the need to carry water bottles on me. We use a backpack for non-valuables.)

I have a similar issue and it makes me very self conscious when I wear messenger bags. One of the things I liked about the VB Hipster is that I could position the strap to go above or below my chest.

I can't picture this. Can you explain? I don't like the quilted look, but I am tempted to get the VB hipster.

I'm large chested and found the sling style bags would irritate me and rid up on my neck. On my last Disney trip, i carried the VB backpack (not the large size one). I carried it on all the ride with me with no problems. I had all kinds of stuff shoved in there too. And the weight was evenly distributed across my shoulders.

See, I'm starting to think that a backpack is the way to go because of the large chest. It doesn't seem to be just how they make the "girls" look, but how the sling functions.

I've tried everything I can think of to get a Vera Bradley Hipster shipped to Canada (I love them too!). I contacted Ebags, and was told there is a import restriction on them, and they can not be shipped to Canada. Which is a royal pain in the @$#! but there's no other way to get one up in the great white north (believe me I tried!)

I'm considering using the baggallini Urban backpack, but am concerned about the thin straps bothering me as the day goes on. I have the messenger sling bagg which I love and may use it. I really don't want to carry one, but some days I might want my big camera.
