I just returned from two nights at POP. then five nights at BWV, then a final two nights at POP (May 13th-May 22nd). I rented points for the BWV portion of the trip and after reading various reports on the boards about treatment of guests at DVC resorts and preassigned rooms, I was a little unsure what to expect. My fears were groundless however. We (the owner and I) had requested a preferred water/courtyard view studio on an upper floor near the elevators. I checked in early, reminded the CM of our requests, but told him I was more concerned with not having a handicapped room. He was so nice and said he would see what he could do. After searching for awhile he smiled and said he thought he had found me the perfect room, but it wasn't ready yet. I told him I didn't care as long as it had a bathtub. When I returned from the park later that day I was informed the room # was 5061. Imagine my surprise when it was only three doors down from the elevator. It had a daybed, as well as the queen size bed and sofa. I walked into the bathroom halfway expecting a handicapped room, but it wasn't. I then walked out to the balcony to check out my water/courtyard view and found a wonderful view of the Boardwalk with Spaceship Earth in the distance. Looking to the right I saw the back porch of the Boardwalk and looking to the left I saw the boat ramp, bike rental, and Beach Club across the lake. The room was located above the archway between the Wyland gallery and Muscles and Bustle gym. It was amazingly quiet though and I heard nothing (except the fireworks) for the five nights I was there. The room was absolutely perfect.
