Hilary that is a very interesting point of view.
I cannot say much on this thread, as I know I'm not well informed on this, and I won't pretend I am.
I don't believe in God & Jesus, nor do I believe in any religion, so if you comment my post, leave the religious aspect of it out.
I try to not let myself think that, 'This is my world, people just happen to be in it' just because I want there to be more to that. If honestly, I am the only real one and this is the story of my life... I just feel like that makes me alone. I'm not sure why, but it does.
I find I'm very well... content with how things are. Some stuff I like to be explained but others are just better left unsaid and explained to me. I don't care about cells or scientific research, I know a carrot is orange I'm not concerned about why.
A theory, either I made up completely, or I had heard of was about time. That there was a different dimension for every moment. Like there was a place, where 6 year old Hilary was getting her hair cut, and it gets repeated. I don't believe in it though, just find it interesting.
Hilary is now going to shut up because she sounds like a babbling imbecile. She is going to read all of your posts because she enjoys reading them.
Those who are mentally unhealthy are in a lot of cases, incapable of surviving on their own. They are not able to function the way mentally stable people do. The world is run by the mentally stable and those with a stable mind out-number those who do not. Therefore, in the case Sparx presented, those who "doubt" sanity are the ones who are sane.
I must say, I really like that thought, Sparx.![]()
Yeah, but who's saying there are only a few people in the world who know what it's really about. The mentally unstable could be the ones who have an eye into reality. Us, mentally stable people just can't grasp that, because what we see is so much different.

They are not the ones ruling the countries in the world. They do not own federal companies, run government agencies, etc. They do not teach the youth in America and in other countries. They might have a eye into something we don't, but they don't produce anything with it. We have eyes to see things they cannot and what we see is used to produce the fuel on which this world progresses...therefore the mentally stable are the ones with the "realistic" views on reality. Everything else is perception.![]()
so comes the question, is a realistic view on reality more important than knowing a little bit more than some?

but our imaginations can think up some really wild and crazy things.
does that mean that the things we dream about at night are do-able and real?
Yes.
There were people, such as my grandmother, who thought going into space was impossible. The first space landing, she believed was fake. She went to her grave believing they just taped some people out in the desert and said they were on the moon. She thought it was impossible.
Going into space was impossible until we had technology. I believe, no matter how wild and crazy something is, can be done. If it can't be done, how is it that we went into space. It was wild and crazy and, as my grandmother thought, impossible.
I remember thinking I was psychic. I have/had dreams that happen the next day. I know they did. I've had recent ones that have happened. Jenny believes that's just how our minds work.
If she believes that, when we dream weird, whacky, seemingly impossible things, then aren't we just thinking of the future? Where would we get those crazy ideas? I think it's possible.
Not technically the future. Just feelings we harbor. Last night, I was watching a thing on Sanjaya on American Idol, I had a dream about him, because it was the last thing I was thinking of. People say "Clear your mind" but that is impossible. Our minds are always working.
It really is hard to explain, philosophy is not an easy topic to discuss, and if you were here, right here with me. I could spend hours on the topic and my beliefs of what the world really is.
Yes, I think technically the future.
I had dreams that happened the next day. You told me that's how our minds work, that I really wasn't seeing into the future, that my mind just worked that way. You told me that I wasn't psychic because everyone's mind does things like that to them. That's what you told me.

Well I have had dreams that never happen. I have had dreams set in animation, I have had dreams about getting murdered, I have had dreams about talking to Sanjaya.
I don't think, technically the future, I think more like what are minds have processed, consciously and unconsciously.

Maybe you'll be able to talk to Sanjaya... {who is that?}
You told me so.... you've changed my viewpoint but now you're messing what you told me up.
He's a dude from American Idol.
How am I messing it up? I told you that dreams are what your minds perceives. They are the concious and unconcious fears and wishes. That is what I told you.
Yes, but who's to say all that stuff is useless. That it isn't just part of the game, that it doesn't have anything to do with reality.
To me, in my perception of life, that stuff is just nonsense. Something to do with our time.
I'm to say a lot of that stuff is useless lol. They might know stuff we don't, but they are unable to use it. They don't use it. And when something isn't used, it's useless...thus the term. lol.
What game? And it has everything to do with reality lol.
What "stuff" is nonesense? lol. "Stuff" such as what makes this world tick and how the many different societies function...and without the mentally ill? If that is the stuff you are talking about, lol, perhaps this conversation just turned 180 degrees because that isn't about reality anymore, it's about fact and the definite nature of things which eliminates "opinion"...it becomes politics. lol.
reality is perception.
perception is not reality.
and what happens whne you die?
not religious arguements needed.

What happens when you die... wow... I used to cry when I was 8-9 years old thinking about that... being so scared... literally because of death.![]()
