OK. Lest hope that some one can help me out please.

If i get a item at 75% off and then an extra 20% off, what is the overall percentages that I get off and how do you woek it out?

Dave

not sure, but it will be 1 of 2 ways,i would think

1-item £10 95% off you would pay 50p

2-item £10 75% off you would pay £2.50 an extra 20% off £2.50 is 50p
you would pay £2

these are the only ways,i can assume it would be.it's a great bargain you have there, either way!!!!

Agreed and I would say most offers the first percentage comes off then the second off of the remaining figure, so example 2 would be the one I would expect to be the correct one, so 80% off the original figure.

Claire ;)

The way I would work it out is to take 75% off first. I.e. 75p for every £1. Then take the 20% off the remaining amount.

Number 2 is the correct way of working it out, would be nice if it was number 1,

but if you got 75% off and then 25% you wouldn't get it free;)
