I am planning a trip for May. This will be my first time without a car and depending on disney transportation the entire week. I will plan to purchase some groceries (water, bagels, etc) there because I don't think I will have enough to justify the delivery charge for the grocery delivery services.

I'm sure I can get everything else I need but my problem is, I am a Diet Pepsi drinker and as hard as I have tried, I just cannot substitute Diet Coke. Is there any place in "the world" where I can purchase pepsi products? I'm not sure I will be able to make it a week without :upsidedow

no. I believe your only option is to walk to the Crossroads offsite from DTD and buy something there.

Yup, it's all Coke products on Disney grounds!

IMO, I'd look into one of the delivery services for your beverage b/c the "grocery" store (I use that term very loosely) just off the grounds is a complete and total rip off! They should fined for price gouging.

The Hess gas station opposite Boardwalk sold no Pepsi products (or Dr. Pepper - we had someone looking for Dr. Pepper) and stated that because they were on Disney property, they had to sell only Coke products. There is also a Hess opposite Downtown Disney. Don't know what they sell.

The Swan and Dolphin are Starwood resorts - everywhere else you go, Starwood resorts sell only Pepsi. The Swolphin only has Coke.

There are a lot of complaints about overpricing at Goodings at the Crossroads (the closest grocery store to Disney property), and most will probably tell you that it's actually better to use a grocery delivery service.

I am also a Diet Pepsi drinker, and alas, there are only Coke products at WDW. I also cannot stand Diet Coke (tastes terrible!).

Recently, though, I tried Coke Zero. Honestly, it tastes very similar to Diet Pepsi to me. It is much better than Diet Coke.

Before you leave, try a Coke Zero and see if you can tolerate it. You may find (like I did), that it is an acceptable alternative to Diet Pepsi. I hope it works out for you.

I believe when the gas stations on property were Exxon Mobile, they sold Pepsi, but it's my understanding that shortly after Hess took over, that stopped. Coincidence?

Thank you for suggesting this! I am a Diet Pepsi drinker too! Last year we went to Pizza Hut for dinner one night and I had 3 refills! The server just laughed at me. I said I was having Diet Pepsi withdrawl

The Hess that we stopped at did not sell any Pepsi products. (DH is a Mtn Dew addict and I drink one Diet Pepsi a day ;) )

DH is willing to drive the 23 hrs to Disney instead of flying... so we have a vehicle to get Mtn Dew :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for your helpful replies!

Wow Robo, the shopping area isn't exactly close to DTD is it? I'm thinking that is farther than I want to carry a case of pop!

WVParkFan - is there a lot of Coke Zero in the parks/restaurants? If this is a common option and I like it, I may be OK. (seriously, I will drink regular Coke before Diet Coke!) If not, I will probably suck up the delivery charge for Garden Grocer and have my beloved Diet Pepsi :lovestruc in my resort fridge

We recently changed our flight plan and eliminated the need for a rental car, not being able to stop at a store was the only reason I hesitated to make that decision (of course delivery will be cheaper than a car rental I guess!)

The Hess location by the Magic Kingdom toll gates also doesn't sell any Pepsi products or Dr. Pepper, so I would assume it's the same at the location across from Downtown Disney.

Also since those locations sell Pibb Xtra it basically tastes exactly the same as Dr. Pepper, so I can not tell the difference between them and would be a great substatute drink to purchase.

I think that Coke Zero is available for the refillable mugs but not 100% sure! Coke Zero was going to be my suggestion because I'm a diet Coke drinker, had Coke Zero once, barf!! Could have swore it was Diet Pepsi!

I have seen it in the drink machine at Captain Cook's in the Polynesian, however I have not seen it at other resorts.
