Well I just spent a long weekend at CSR for father's day (my gift to myself). The resort was great but my family and I agree the PM is the worst food/dining experience we have ever had on WDW property.

I am curious as to what others think . . .

Well, we have never stayed at CSR but we have eaten at Pepper Market every one of our trips (at least once) since CSR opened.
From that you could probably guess that we like Pepper Market. I would say we love Pepper Market.
Now, we have a couple of favorite items that we always order, and we don't really stray from those things.

I am sorry you had a bad experience.
It sounds like a good trip other than the PM food.

What made the experience bad? Food quality, service, price....

We were just at CSR for a week and I think we ate at Pepper Market at least once a day. We loved it. Loved the food, loved the set up, loved the people. We got great service too. This will ne one of the main factors that push us to book CSR again for our next trip.

I also would like to hear what it was that made it the worst ever.

Ohhhh! I love the PM! They have the widest choices of selections of any foodcourt IMO and the wet burrito rules! :goodvibes

We will be staying at CSR for part of our next trip. What menu items did you have that we should stay away from?

MICKEEP, I would say try everything you want to and decide for yourself. While someone may hate the fajitas, someone else may love them.

My kids didnt like the pizza. But out of everything else it was all very good. Personally, I love the beef quesadillas :)

We've gone to PM on every trip too. We love it. We originally went to use the Quick and Casual Meal Vouchers. But we will go back now, even though there are no more vouchers. DH even wants to stay at CSR again because of Pepper Market.

We've gotten the steak meal (enough for 2 of us). Most of the kids meals. My older DD ordered a BBQ beef sandwich. We still laugh about that one. There was SOOOOO much beef on it. It was like a mountain. I think we could have all eaten off of that one sandwich and been full!! I am not sure if it was because it was the end of the pot of BBQ or late at night??? It was huge! The next time I might try the wet burrito. DH got the bourbon chicken and liked that.

I agree with you 100%. I thought maybe it was just me because when I posted my dining experiences there in August 2004, most people disagreed with me and one poster actually told others not to pay too much attention to what I said! We gave the PM three chances because we were staying at CSR and had the Q&C vouchers. I have never sent food back at a Disney restaurant before but the food was literally inedible one evening -- a chicken stir-fry with so many chili peppers that my tongue and lips started to swell. DH had a hard time finding the meat in his prime rib --mostly fat and gristle. The desserts were equally disappointing.

How does the Pepper Market work with the dining plan?...We will be staying there in September and I understand it is a CS but isn't it a buffet?...any suggestions would be great..I just don't want to load up on food at PM to find out that the food is not covered on CS dining plan?..thanks so much..91 day countdown has begun...

It is a CS restaurant - nope, not a buffet. More like the food courts at the other resorts - just better selections.

We stayed at CSR last fall and tried it a few times. I personally enjoyed the wet burrito and the rice krispies treats, but thought everything else sucked. The hamburger was cold but the bun was burned, the 'nachos' consisted of chips and cheese for $7 or $8, and the 'italian' section should be quarantined. To each his own, I guess!

We love it and eat there at least once every trip even though we don't stay at CSR. It was a great deal with the vouchers, there are so many selections and the food was all good to me. We've had steak, prime rib, calzones and mexican and it was all good. DS loved the kids pizza one time and I think chicken fingers another. We really liked it and will continue to go often.

Sorry you didn't enjoy the food. We LOVED it during our May stay. This just shows how different everyone's tasts can be. Worth noting: We don't like fast food, so we ordered items more typical of a TS restaurant. Perhaps this makes the difference??

We stayed at CSR a year ago Halloween and also were surprised that we disliked the PM, based on the rave reviews it had gotten online. Fairly expensive for mediocre food (and I don't mind paying $$$$ for good food).

We're going back in Sept and I'm sure we'll give it another try, but I don't hold out high hopes. But maybe it truly was a fluke.
