I've seen a bunch of posts about Pepper Market-- mostly that it is a great bargin with Q+C vouchers-- and wanted to know if the food is any good. Also, are they good about changes to the menu-- such as something without sauces, or substitutions, etc.

We stayed at CS last December and loved the Pepper Market! We usually had the grilled tuna (yum) or a wet veggie burrito. You can most definetly order your food how you like it. They have stations for the different types of food (Deli, Italian, Mexican, etc). You talk directly to the person who makes it and you can tell them what you want (the veggie burrito wasn't on the menu, but I just asked them to make me one). The only bad thing when we were there is that the Florida Democratic Convention was there over the weekend and it was very crowded. The line looked like it would be an hour wait. Big tip: Don't wait in that line. Walk straight to the front and tell the hostess you want take out. She'll let you go right in. We just ate in our room, but there are also tables outside. Also, with the Q&C vouchers, they were very generous. On one voucher we would get the grilled tuna which came with veggies and rice (or potatoes, I can't remember), a childs meal, dessert and a drink. We saved alot of money with the vouchers and we thought the food was great. I hoped this helped:earsgirl:

We have eaten there on our last two trips. One time I had the chinese sampler platter, and it was just ok. Last month, both DH and I got the rib steak (we got two and shared with 2 DDs), and that was delicious! The deserts are excellent, especially the cheesecake. I believe you can get a smoothie as your beverage there. It is more like an icee, but still good. I try to get DH to go there on every trip. He grumbles about having to drive there, but the AS food court stuff gets tired very quickly, and he's less inclined to go to Epcot or offsite for dinner. (Although sometimes we do go offsite to eat).

I have been there several times and we were not impressed with the food. I also don't like the mandatory tip since we never got any service other than sitting us down at the table. No refills or anything. Others have suggested getting it as take out food. Watch out the birds are very bold at the outside tables.

we just returned from coronado and ate at pepper market 3 times. each time the food was just so-so, we had pasta, pizza, quesadilla's. i agree on not liking the mandatory tip service also, since the waitress brought our drinks and we never really saw her after that, got our own refills. i thought you ordered your food and they brought it to you, but you wait for it and bring it back yourself. also, we usually went about 7pm and it was busy the first couple nights, the last night they were not busy, but it still took forever for a hostess to go clean off a table and seat us.
