Pepper Market CS Question and Thoughts.

From reading the forum I discovered that the Pepper Market is considered CS for DDP. I find it hard to believe because it would be such a great value but welcome the idea of it because I plan to eat there a few times at lunch during our stay in late June and early July.

A few questions pertaining though. What time does Pepper Market start serving lunch? I understand the idea of going to a food station and ordering and then them stamping your ticket but are some items for example the Ribeye Steak at the Grill Station not allowed for CS DDP? The 10% gratuity that is automatically added, is it part of the CS DDP? I know I read somewhere on here that certain desserts were not included and that a certain section was there that you could choose from. What would be an example of some of the desserts allowed? Is the cookie at the Kids Kitchen considered the dessert for a child? Thanks for any and all of your answers.

I believe lunch starts at 11am at the Pepper Market.

Everything was included on the DDP when we were there in 8/2006...I haven't read of any changes to that policy here, so I assume that it's still the same.

It is true that the desserts are limited, but it is clearly marked what you are allowed to choose from, and it wasn't terribly limited what there was to choose from. What I remember is that they had 2 cases of desserts/pastries to choose from. One was fine for the DDP, the other were for the people paying OOP.

The 10% gratuity is automatically added, but I believe I've read here that it's included in the CS credit there.

Have fun! I can't wait to get back to CSR. :)

Yes, the rib eye is considered Counter Service. The 10% is covered by the dining plan (if you are not on dining plan you can avoid the 10% by asking for a to go ticket and eat at one of the nice tables outside). I can't answer about the desserts as we usually end up skipping them because the meal portions are so huge that I never have room for dessert and my DH doesn't eat dessert every meal because he is borderline diabetic and even though on vacation we try to limit his sugar intake.

We were very happy every time we ate at Pepper Market during our stay at CSR. As for desserts, we chose things that the kids could eat for breakfast the next morning.

The desserts in the DDP "tier" include things like pastry and turnovers. The bigger, fancier desserts like pies and cakes were not included. Other than that you could go in, get a rib eye steak with veggies and potato, a drink and a pastry and you could use a CS credit on the DDP and pay nothing. (10% service charge is included but any additional tip is up to you) It's a pretty good deal on DDP but I'm not sure if I would pay that much OOP.

Thanks for the responses. We may do as many as 4 CS at Pepper Market and all for lunch. All of our TS are scheduled for early sitting dinners so the 1100am opening at Pepper Market should work out great.
