Okay, this is starting to get... I don't even know what the word is. 🤦 In the last two weeks, they've had major IT flaws, a boat sinks, Peoplemover crashes, CEO changes, false alarms that bring in the SWAT team and puts resorts on lock down... Am I forgetting anything? 😆

I don't know what theme park gods Disney ticked off, but they should start kissing butt.

You don't have to look too far back for the emergency Skyliner evacuation.

I think crash is a bit extreme here. These cars hit each other pretty often. When the ride stops the cars still move. I know peoplemover CMs have spoken on this topic before. The ride was back up and running fairly quickly too.

I don't have all the details, but I'm wondering how this is any different than some of the People Mover collisions I've been involved in over the years. A few years back they were having intermittent power outages and the cars were ramming each other like bumper cars. My teeth were rattling from some of the hits. I remember the folks in the car in front screamed at us to stop it ... like we were controlling them :confused3

Yeah that's what I would assume this was. Basically bumper cars.

I saw a chart posted elsewhere that it had dropped quite a bit. How low is it now?
Disney only dropped a little compared to yesterday. Closed at $117. The Dow is down another 300 so the whole market isn't doing great.

300 would seem like a good day lately. Was approaching 1000 again earlier today. 300 represents a bit of a comeback. Sure hope it turns around next week.

With two parks closed and people not going to the movies. Disneys first quarter has to be bad. Bad enough go make the whole year bad.

Have you ever heard the old saying that once is accident, twice is coincidence and three times is enemy action? I am really wondering. Sorry, but I used to be in law enforcement, things like this make me go hmmmm.

I would add the fire in Disneyland a few weeks ago. It was contained quickly, but could have been much worse.

There was also the smoke incident on the Peoplemover that shut it down, but that was a quite few weeks ago as well.

Regardless, the past couple of weeks are memorable.

We went to WDW a few weeks after the smoke incident and that is why we chose not to ride it.
