People, you need to quit!!!!!

So I've been on since 2006, too (even though my stats say 2007 :confused3) I've used it to learn about Disney before our first trip, because I didn't know if my kids would like it. Back then, there were detractors, but overall it was a helpful site.

In 2007, the big distraction was when they announced that the DDP wouldn't include the tip or the appetizer. Oh my!:sad::sad: People hit the ROOF!!! There was panic in the streets and people vowed never to go to WDW again!:rolleyes2

Then, I believe it was 2010 when Harry Potter opened at US/IOA. Oh, all this board could talk about was how Disney doesn't innovate anymore and how it's getting old! They were talking about how US/IOA was killing WDW and that they wouldn't come back to WDW until they innovate.

Now, the anger-du-jour is FP+. People are vowing to leave WDW again. Tomorrow, it will be something else…

Here's the big thing that people need to know: People leave and vow not to go to WDW all the time. It's a vacation destination and people come and go. It's the same at other theme parks and vacation destinations. But as long as people have kids, people will go to Disney World. The reason why is because the kids want to see their princesses. They want to take a picture with their characters. They want to experience the experience and take a picture in front of the castle.

I talked to this one guy who told me that he went to WDW on NEw Years Day. He told me that it was insane and that he only rode about 4 rides total! He said that the crowds were so big that they may have closed the park's admittance. He said it was a big hassle. But he said his daughter had a great time and will go again!

Oh, and the last thing: WDW isn't the only vacation destination in the world. Sometimes, you complain because you simply go too much! Take a break! They have great deals on cruises nowadays! They have these all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean that are really nice! In other words, mix it up! And when or if you go back to WDW, you will have a different perspective.:thumbsup2

Hit close to home? ;)

Nope - I typically only post if I have experience with something that someone asks a question about.

If you are complaining about people being mean it would be less hypocritical if you were not mean in your post - kind of defeats the purpose. But to each their own.

When it comes down to it, positive, optimistic people are happier and healthier, and enjoy more success than those who think negatively. The key difference between them is how they think about and interpret the events in their life.

I frequent a lot of forums and have to admit that there do seem to be a lot of thin skinned people here. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are bullying you. Message boards are great in that they allow folks to get together to discuss a topic of shared interest. "Discuss" doesn't mean that everyone has the same basic belief about every single facet of that shared interest.

Closing as nothing good will come of the path this thread is taking.

If anyone feels that posters are breaking the board rules then please use the report post button. It can be found below the posters name. State the poster you are report and what you feel requires the mods attention.

However it is best to either put posters on your ignore list or disregard thread topics that you are not interested in :)
