Well, I know I'm excited to be leaving in 24 more days!! We'll first be at the Caribe Royale for the Playlist Live 2014 event and then heading to Pop for our first time on the 24th!!! Me, my 16 year old daughter and her friend!! We are going to love it like we do every year!!! Heck, we'll be away from the snow and cold which we've had WAY TOO MUCH of this winter!! Swimming in March? Heck, yeah!!! Our magic bands are coming in today (per an email) and we'll have fun decorating them with glitter nail polish!! It's what you make of it and I intend on making it wonderful as it is every year!!!!

okay i have question that ill post here because you all are nice and i don't want to make a thread about it. Why is it cheaper to book a weekday to weekday vacation vs a weekend to weekend vacation? it was like a 700 dollar difference for my family!! Its such a silly question i know.

But for real though, I come on here daily and see some nasty remarks made to people who have a different opinion than them. I look over the boards to help people out if they need a question answered and i see what i can be educated on. When i do voice my opinons and the facts i know, people shoot me down in such a snarky way. I think people now a days have become bigger than their disney britches really are.

Friday and Saturday nights cost more at the resorts, but not $700 more. Are you sure all the options were exactly the same except the dates?

There should only be less than a $75 difference.

The price difference depends on the resort, and you have to include days from 2 weekends. A Friday to Sunday 9 day reservation includes 4 weekend days, while Monday to Wednesday reservation only has 2.

Even if they are staying at the most expensive room in the most expensive resort, the difference still shouldn't be $700.

We are planning a trip in Sept, so have been on the boards a few times. What is up with people being so mean! I know you can have your own opinion, but don't cut down the OP. I am almost scared to ask questions on here any more.These boards have changed a lot since I first joined. People come here to get information, not to be bullied. I guess it all comes down to the old saying, "if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all." BE NICE PEOPLE!!!!!

I don't think the Boards have changed at all. There have been "mean people" on the Boards ever since I started reading here in 2001. There are also a lot of very nice people here and always have been.

I have been afraid to ask a question here before because I didn't want to get berated, and every time I do ask something I have to have a thought, is anyone going to think this is a totally stupid question and be mean to me? I was always taught there are no stupid questions!

I don't know if it's changed all that much, because there have always been the vocal minority of hateful people - but it definitely seems amplified by the drama with MDE/FP+.

I will say that the people who love to bully others and like to cut a person down to the quick because their knowledge of theme park attractions and strategies is sub-par are exactly that - a vocal minority. I bet for every one of the jerks on here there are 50 nice folks who just want to daydream about their favorite place. But that is exactly how bullies roll.

I agree the tone of this board has changed quite a bit..But if you check out some of the other sub sections like Disney for Families or Restaurants, it's a much happier place..So I try to stick there instead.

I've certainly read the occasional snarky retort on these boards; however, this isn't the only internet chat forum I read. I think people, In general, are less concerned with the tone of their writing and hide behind the anonymity of the net. Unfortunately, the DIS isn't immune to this. It's truly a sad evolution in how we communicate with each other.

I agree, no reason to be mean or nasty to anyone. There is no foolish questions to ask. I don't look at all the stickies. I even forget them sometimes. But people making such said remarks need to look at themselves first....
