People with Disney Names...

There is a Simba in my son's class too, but he is from Africa, and it might be an usual name there.

I worked in the baby ward in my hospital for 2 years, and I've seen quite a lot of Arielle. And in the name registery, this year, I've seen a Princess Tiana.

Yup, with the Princess included.

It's not disney related, but my youngest daughter is named Lilianne, Lili for Harry Potter's mother and Anne for the Green Cables.

The worse I have seen when I was working in the maternity ward was twins named Merlin and Lancelot.

My son's name is Elias...named after Walt, it was his middle name and also his grandfather's name. Elias' middle name is James, after Jim Henson. I wanted to name my first son Mickey, but my wife wouldn't go for that.

We're expecting a girl next year and I'm rooting for Ariel, but the Mrs. likes Lilly Belle....which she at least got from the world of Disney.

I've got a kitten called Mushu we've only had him 4 weeks and I've explained about a million times that he's named after the dragon in Mulan I've obviously got lots of non-disney friends!

I had a Chow Chow named Nala, and cats named Lilo, Tigger, and O'Malley.

My son is named after Obi-Wan Kenobi and Connor McLeod of the Clan McLeod, though.

I have a friend whose last name is Disney. :)

AFAIK they aren't related in any way.

Cat named Savvy because Captain Jack Sparrow says savvy several times in the movies.

New car is named Buzz. I tried Dash for a while but no one remembers Dash from The Incredibles - LOL. DS said car looks futuristic so Buzz it is.

Jack Sparrow is the best character in the POTC movies.

I remember him!

My daughter's name is Aria but her name is constantly mistaken as Ariel. So much so that she'll respond to the name Ariel, assuming people are calling her. When we found out we were having a son, my husband had always wanted to give him the name Sebastian, but I explained we couldn't- because if my kids were Ariel and Sebastian someone might start calling me Ursula! :hyper:

Another stretch...my other daughter is Liliana Rose, and we call her Lily Rose, like Johnny Depp's daughter. Could I say I have Captain Jack's baby then?? :confused3

I'm planning on naming my future daughter Jasmine. She's my favorite princess and I love the name. Hopefully my girlfriend will agree to it lol.

My name is Wendy. While I wasn't specifically named after Wendy from Peter Pan, the name Wendy was supposedly created for Peter Pan so I guess I kind of was in a roundabout way ;)

I'm Wendy too!

When I was younger, I didn't really like my name because I thought it was too cute-sy & trendy like all the other girl names that end in -y from my day - Becky, Sandy, Stacy, Karey, Kelly, etc.

And I always wanted a more literary name like Elizabeth...

Well, some years later, I read where the name Wendy was created by James M. Barrie for Peter Pan, & I was thrilled! I do have a literary name! :cool1:

Now, of course, Wendy isn't as popular as it was in the 70s & 80s.

This past trip, we were at Once Upon a Toy at DTD, & I gave the castmember my KTTW card. She looked at the card & then looked at me & then asked w/ this kind of awe in her voice, "Is your name really Wendy?"

I said yes. And she replied, "That's so cool!"

::yes::

I married a Todd (Fox and the Hound)

Cats: Bambi & Meeko (Pocahontas)

We have a male basset hound named Sherlock so we named our female Olivia (Great Mouse Detective)

My family lives on a pretty big acreage with lots of animals, so we've also named the following:

2 Owls - Big Mama (Fox and the Hound) & Archimedes (Sword in the Stone)
2 Ducks - Donald and Daisy
Baby Deer - Flower (friends would call him Bambi and it confused our poor cat, so we kept reiterating FLOWER, the skunk from the same movie)

I want my children to have Disney names, but I don't want them obvious Disney. Here's what I like:

Girls
Adelaide (Aristocats)
Hera (Hercules)
Calliope (Hercules)
Cleo (Pinocchio)

Boys
Preston (Atlantis)
Clayton (Tarzan)
Basil (Great Mouse Detective)

I have a friend named Ariel and another friend named Alicia (spanish for Alice). And my dad's name is Peter.

My name is Jessica and I never thought that was a Disney related name until someone pointed out Jessica Rabbit :thumbsup2

There is a Cinderella at my school. She has 2 sisters and their names end with ella also. In my family we have Alice & Eric

I know several girls named Tiana - all born before the movie.

My boyfriend's name is Max, but he definitely wasn't named after Goofy's son. However, when he was a little kid, he was really excited to learn that Goofy's son was named Max, and he loved The Goofy Movies because of it (back then, Max wasn't a very common name).
