Didnt know about this until i was waiting 55 mins in line for Goofy and Pluto yesterday and saw a couple of people stand in a separate line then go on in front to meet them.

How long has this been around for?

I highly doubt this is for Photopass. If it is I have never heard of it. This is normally the way the lines are handled for people who have Disability Passes at the morning meets.

Is there anywhere that we can clairfy this? Cause i thought if you were disabled you still had to wait the same amount of time just in a different line?
These people walked up and saw the.characters within 10 minutes.

As Vala says these people will have had a disabled pass - they don't wait the same length of time but they do wait in a different line - It's not immediate for them always but sometimes it looks that way

I'm going to change your thread title to avoid confusion :)

The system in Paris is different to the system in the US parks.

Yes, it doesn't work the same way as in the US parks. And what you noticed is happening only for a fraction of the meets. Most of the morning meets work that way, meet Mickey does and I think the Buzz/Mickey Studios meets. Most random pop up sets won't allow you use of the passes at all. Thumper/Miss Bunny, Merida and the Christmas Meets give/gave you return time tickets. I'm not sure how the Princess Pavillion works with the system change there.

No, when using the priority card, sometimes they let 3-5 families go, then a priority card.
They usually do this system during EMH.
After park opening, doing meets with priority card you get a set time from the cast member.

Having a Photo Pass+ does not give you priority acces.

Waiting the same amount of time is at WDW (don't know about DLR).

We used my wife's Pregnancy pass at DLP last week to skip the queues while meeting characters. For some Meet 'n' Greets you have to arrive early to get a return time. For example to see Mickey and Minne in their Christmas outfits at WDS we went to the Meet 'N' Greet at 10am and have a return time of 1:35PM.

A lot of people with disability passes also have PhotoPass+ cards so what a Guest can see is someone turning up at the exit of the Meet 'n' Greet being shown into the Greeting area and then someone in the party handing over their PhotoPass+ card to the photographer. What they did not see was their Disability card being shown to the CM and their return ticket handed over.

For fixed Meets like Meet Mickey Mouse or Santa we just went in through the exit and went in after a few families in front of us.

To be honest we did not do that many Meet's as Sharon was far too worn out to even stand in line for the small amount of time that was required for some of them, but I have to say the Pregnancy Pass was worth it's weight in gold for the assistance she received.

The Mickey and Minnie in Christmas outfits meet seems to work a bit different than the others.

For Thumper and Miss Bunny, Marie and Jack Skellington they started giving out return times for pretty much start time, was never more than 10 minutes after the characters showed. The Mickey/Minnie meet handicapped slots didn't begin until an hour after the meet started.

Could they have had VIP passes? Or been VIP guests?

VIP passes do not allow you to skip the characters Meet 'n' Greet queues, they just give you entry into the FastPass line on the rides that have them.

VIP Guests tend to have private Meet 'n' Greets with characters but it's quite unusual for this to happen at DLP as I've seen famous pop starts, Hollywood actors and sports stars in the queue to meet the characters just like everyone else.

Both Mickey and Minnie meets in the studios and park we had return times within 20mins. For Santa we were told just to wait, same for woody and jack skellington

We get a disability pass . For the pavilion you go to the exit and ring the bell and cm comes out and takes you in. Sometimes if there is afew ffamily's in front you can be waiting awhile. For the meets around the park you Que in a seperate line. If it's busy they give you a time slot to return .

Since 14th December there are fastpass machines in operation at the PP including a specific Disability-pass FP machine. There is a CM in place checking passes before you can get FPs from the machine. People with Priority passes and Access passes can queue to get passes from this machine. You then take you FP to the exit when it's your time. Not sure if the FP machines will operate at less busy times.

When I met Minnie and Mickey during EMH there were a family who got let in before me but they had a severly ill child and the cast member came over and asked me first if it was ok for them to go before me as I was next in the line. I didn't see it when I met Merida. I did see another family enter princess pavilion through the exit and again they had a disabled child.

The cast members usually explains why it is you have to wait to let a family take it's turn with one of the dissability passes.

I've seen many people roll their eyes at the cast member when they explain to them if it were my turn.
Maybe some people should step in someone's shoes for a day with a dissabilty. Doesn't mean I look alright I actually am alright.

People can be so judgemental towards people with disabilities or illnesses. Not all disabilities are visable too. My best friend has spina bifida but to look at her you wouldn't think anything is wrong with her, but she has a limp, back problems, can't walk long distances, amongst other problems.
