People Mover Question

I notice that you need to be "amulatory" to ride this. Does that mean that it can not be stopped to allow people on and off? My sister can walk short distances, but if it does not stop completely to allow her to get on, she wouldn't be able to ride.

I don't want to waste our time, if it's something she can't do!

I'm not sure if they can stop it or not, or if they will, but she will have to be able to get up and down the long inclined moving walkway to get to the ride vehicles. I'm going to guess that they can stop it, due to having been on it and having it stop, but I don't want to tell you with 100% certainty that they will.

Guest do really need to be ambulatory to go on this attraction. There is no way around it.

The biggest difficulty is getting up and down the moving walkway to get to the boarding and unload area, which are about 25 feet above ground level.
It is an extremely steep moving ramp - kind of like an escalator without any steps. Guests need to be able to stand on that, get off at the top of the moving ramp and walk a few feet to the level moving walkway at the boarding area.
There is a CM at the boarding area who would be able to slow down the moving walkway for boarding if someone in danger of falling, but in general they do not stop or slow it.

After riding, guests are unloaded at another moving walkway, get off of that and then walk a few steps to an extremely steep moving ramp that leads back down.

Honestly, Sue is right. It is pretty steep. It is pretty difficult to keep your balance on the walkway that takes you up to the People Mover! I have to really hang on for dear life when we try this and I only 'consider' this when I am having a REALLY good day! LOL! I make DH stand behind me just in case I lose my balance so that he can 'catch' me or at least I take him out first in the 'fall of the dominos' I also stand sideways because if I stand facing forward, I feel like it just stretches my calf muscles 'way too hard'. Any one else have that feeling on that escalator?

Reading this thread made me realize that I have not tried this ride. I know I have been told I can't ride PP. Is it just these two, or are there any other? I can't remember any others I have not tried, but I'm not sure.
