There's a rumor buried over on Mouseplanet that Ouimet is thinking about resurrecting the Peoplemover at Disneyland by 2009. It would be nice to see that back in place.

It's in Lutz's latest amongst the Nemo/sub shots.

IT also mentions moving the Astro orbitors or whatever they're called now back to their old location.

THat would be WONDERFUL!!! If they brought back the peoplemover I would be sooo happy. I loved that ride! So relaxing! The idea of them moving the Astro orbitors back to the original spot would be cool too! I still do not understand why they moved them in the first place!?

If they would only bring back Journey into Innerspace....... :cloud9:

I would love to see the Peoplemover return to DL.

I'd also like them to rebuild a new track and bring the Rocket Rods back.
How about Mission to Mars?

Tomorrowland really does need a facelift. I think they should tear out the "Honey I Shrunk The Audience" theater and bring back the old open air amphitheater. I still have memories of seeing Joannie and Cha Chi perform live there.

I think the Buzz Lightyear space would be much better utilized if they brought back "America The Beautiful". And I don't like the new Autopia. They should just tear it up and rebuild it the old way.

Finally, I think the dumbest thing Disneyland ever did was close down "America Sings" just so they could move all of the characters over to "Splash Mountain". Close down that log ride and bring back America Sings. And then after they level the mountain, they can build a nice Character meeting area for the Pooh characters. Because THEY are the TRUE Disney.

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong. :confused3

I don't really remember the ride. My only recollection of the ride was Frees' voice, tiny blue plastic people & snow flakes. Beyond that I'm at a loss. I heart Star Tours though.

I assume you're being sarcastic, but what the heck...Me too. It wasn't the greatest ride out there, but it was a pleasant diversion. Something's better than nothing. I also miss the skyway since it was a nice way of getting across the park without waiting for 3 stops via the train & it was a nice break for the feet.

I'd also like them to rebuild a new track and bring the Rocket Rods back.
It was fun but completely unreliable. If they would have fixed the kinks that would have been great.

I hear his grandchild is hanging out in Future World where one of my favorites used to live.

Tomorrowland really does need a facelift.
Agreed. Brownish-bronze doesn't really do it for me. And given the less than warm feelings it garnered on the reopening, I'm guessing I'm not alone. Putting a ride ride in front of the land is tacky as well IMO. Thanks again Paul.

First we'd have to bring back Captain EO. ;)

Who?

Just kidding.

I think the Buzz Lightyear space would be much better utilized if they brought back "America The Beautiful".
The original? No. A new one, built on the soarin' scheme or the like, perhaps. I haven't seen the Buzz Attraction, but if it's like the MK version then it's doable.

And I don't like the new Autopia. They should just tear it up and rebuild it the old way.
Either way it's still just make-believe driving.

No, but it wouldn't break my heart of the Innoventions wannabe were to be transformed back into Carousel of Progress. It also wouldn't break my heart if they built a new attraction either...provided it didn't suck. From what I hear the Alien Encounter "fix" is less than stellar.

And then after they level the mountain, they can build a nice Character meeting area for the Pooh characters. Because THEY are the TRUE Disney.
The same could be said for Peter Pan, etc...

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong. :confused3
Wrong? Maybe not. Blowing this out of proportion? Perhaps.
