People Just don't Understand!!!!

YEA, I get the same response all the time as well . Those same folk also love something different it just is'nt disney . And I fill sorry for them .

Used to hear it all the time, until my DH said to someone, "it's my happy place and when you're 60 or when you can afford it, you can choose YOUR happy place."

:lmao: Maybe it's the way he says it and his look on his face, but now people say WHEN are you going back to WDW? Plus we're at DLR almost every weekend;)

I get sick of defending our vacation choices, so what did we do? Bought DVC 2 years ago and now it's Home. We have been to WDW 50+ times over the last 36 years and we still find new things to do nearly every trip. Next month we will have our 1st split stay at AKV for 5 nights and at BCV for 7 (NEW) Going to La Nouba (NEW) Watching our son in law particpate in a Half Marathon (NEW) Purchasing APs for the first time, getting the TIW card, eating at several (NEW to us) restaurants. Honestly, this whole trip will be a totally different experience for us. Don't care what anyone else thinks, we  it!!

I get frustrated sometimes as well. Most of the people I know that say things have never even been there!! DH think it is because they think it is just for kids. Most don't even know what it has to offer.

I try not to take offense and agree with PP that when they do decide to go they know who to call to help them plan!!

We get the same looks from co-workers, friends and family. We no longer tell folks we are going

My wife and I get this all the time. Generally its from people who have either never been to Disney or don't understand Disney at all. Thats just my opinion. My wife thinks people who react that way are "soul-less automatons programmed to irritate and annoy" ... hmmm, maybe I'll go with her opinion instead ;)

Used to get it big time from an old friend who every summer rented a cabin in Vermont in the middle of nowhere (not even a pond nearby). Now, 10 years later he owns DVC and we'll be meeting him there this fall.

:rotfl:That's rich!

This used to happen but now they ask ME....."When's your next Disney trip?" :thumbsup2

Kanga1- Your video brought tears to my eyes! THAT'S what we're talking about!!!!

Really makes me wish we had video taped when our kids were younger, though. We WILL be taping on our next trip! Thanks for the inspiration!

I SOOO love that there are people out there that feel the same way as I do. Thank you guys.... LOVE MY DIS PEEPS

 To Funny ,Thats Exactly what I say ,It's my happy Place !
#1 sister would rather be floating in her boat in some remote place
#2 sister would rather be scaling a mountain or hiking
# I like Disney -I do go other places about every other year ,but I still get my
Disney fix every year ! (It's relaxing comfortable and still fun !)
