If DVC will allow you to put 5 in a 1 bdrm. if there are children involved (I was told that my 6 yo would count as a child and we'd be able to reserve a 1 bdrm), will they allow you to put 9 in a 2 bdrm? We would have 4, 5, 7, 9, and 11 yo children and then the 4 adults. I know it wouldn't give us an abundance of space but we're rarely there so it's not a big deal. Just want to know if anyone has asked this.

No, a two bedroom is limited to eight plus one under the age of three.

It's not how much space you require, but how many you are permitted to have in the villa.

That is until Kadani village comes on board with the extra amenities!

Can someone tell me why they'll allow 5 in a 1 bdrm. but not 9 in a 2 bdrm. if the same ages apply? The difference is adding the studio lockoff side that sleeps 4 so in theory, 9 should still be ok.

I believe that you are allowed 9 in a 2-br at Jambo House with the exception of value villas. You just don't get the extra bathroom.

The rules actually only allow four in a one bedroom plus one under the age of three. Because a lot of families have more than four, DVC decided to allow the fifth person but not provide any additional bedding or towels. It's not an opportunity to stuff the villa.

Those are the DVC rules and it's in writing.

You could request a one bedroom and a studio, but there is no guarantee that they will connect.
