PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

I'm hoping the prices from JFK to LAX come down. American has the best flight times and options, but the prices are so high right now. I paid $275 for my trip to St. Louis and even thought that was high considering it's a short flight.

I'm also hoping the prices to MCO from either JFK or LaGuardia come down. I priced our late Aug/early Sept trip and the flights range from $300-$400 per person either on Delta or American. :scared1: The flight isn't even 3 hours!!! Continental is slightly cheaper, but driving to Newark is a pain and I'll have to park at the airport. That ends up being more money. I prefer the short trip to JFK or the even shorter one to LaGuardia and pay car service. I'm hoping that either the prices come down or JetBlue releases better rates. Right now, JetBlue only has rates out for up until April 30th.

Does JetBlue fly to LAX?

It switches back to 180 days on October 27th. You can begin to make online reservations at 6am EST and call in at 7am EST if I understand correctly.

By the way, what made you decide to go ahead with coming in February? I am sooo excited you changed your mind! Do LA schools have that week off? I thought it was the following week that was Mardi Gras holiday week?

Thanks for the info! I will try the online booking that morning.

We only have 2 days off of school for Mardi Gras. Not enough to plan a trip. Plus DH couldn't get off that week. We weren't going to book a trip because of those reasons and we weren't sure about pulling him out of school. When the buy 4 get 3 free deal came out I decided to talk to his teacher and school and see what they think about pulling kids out of school. Turns out they are totally fine with it for Kindergarten as long as the child isn't extremely behind. So, there you go! We are booked and I can't believe it all worked out. If you remember, I really thought it was a lost cause. Funny how pixie dust works. :thumbsup2

Hi Jordan!:wave2: Just trying to catch up...

I am amazed at your itinerary... I think the changes you made to the last two days are great!

Wendy is waiting and hopefully they will come down in the next few weeks...

JetBlue flies into LAX and Long Beach I think.

Well, the fact that we are there at the same time is amazing.

If you check out my itinerary, you can see where I'll be and when.....I do have alot of free time in the evenings.

Well, since Louisiana schools and schools in the Northeast all have that following week off, I'd say we picked a good week to go. Hopefully the discounts won't affect crowds too much.

Hi Kathy. Thanks for stopping by. I know you have alot going on right now:hug:

Not too much longer til your trip. It's like 2 weeks away!!!!!:woohoo:

Wow. I just read your whole trip report, I love all of the hilarious pictures. I would also love to stay at the BWV one day, but it certainly won't be this trip for me either.

I know, it is AWESOME!! :woohoo: Can't wait to see you guys again and Cherie & DJay too! And didn't you tell me that Rosie might be there too?? So cool.

Yeah this was always our favorite week to go. Either before Mardi Gras or after it depending on how it is situated to Presidents Day weekend. We like to skip both of those and the crowd level is usually VERY good. I looked up our crowd calendar for that week and we have 5's to 7's, except on Superbowl Sunday which is an 8. Not bad at all!!

PS- as soon as we put DS to bed we are going to compare our ADR list to yours. We may be in the same park on some days as well as ADR's. You never know!

good to know. just remember the cheerleaders are at DHS the 5-7th and 12-14th......

you sticking with OKW....?

okay.:thumbsup2

lets compare notes and see why we picked certain parks on certain days...your opinion would help me get an objective viewpoint of the itinerary as it stands now....

Ok, we took a look and compared our itenerary to yours. We will be in Epcot on the 7th too, as well as AK on the 9th, and DHS on the 10th!! We also have lunch planned at 50's. We were thinking 11 but may push it more toward noon because we aren't usually hungry in WDW by 11am. I need to be able to fit all that pot roast in my belly!! :cloud9:

I pretty much went with Touring Plans' info to create our itenerary. I hope it works! Here is what we've got:
Sat. 6th - Epcot *Coral Reef* tonight. (gotta have that octopus juice!)

Sun 7th - Epcot (I thought about changing one of these Epcot days because I usually like to spread them out rather than do the same park back to back. But I may just leave it and see how it goes.) *Teppan Edo* tonight.

Mon 8th - MK *O'hana tonight*

Tues 9th - AK & maybe a little DHS. Not sure because we are doing hoop dee doo this evening at 7:15 so we may just make a day of AK. (especially since we are doing DHS the next day)

Wed 10th- DHS *50's-lunch* / *Captain's Grill for dinner at the Yact/Beach Club* (just because we've never been)

Thurs 11th - AK / DTD *Donald's Safari Breakfast @ Tusker House* / *T-Rex for dinner*

Fri 12th - MK *Kona - dinner*

Sometimes I look at it and love it and sometimes I look at it and think I could/should change a couple of things. Who knows what will happen by February!! :rolleyes1

I managed to plan around the Cheerleader thing. :thumbsup2 And yes, we are going to stick with OKW. With this deal we could upgrade to the Beach club or somewhere else for the price that we USUALLY pay at OKW for only 6 nights, but we have decided to keep the lower price and stay at OKW. We are still planning on doing a trip in June with my mother.
