Saw the pics of Erin last night. I didn't know it but DS was standing behind me watching after 2 pics he taps me on the shoulder & says she's cute who is she? I explained about your trip report. All I had to do was say Disney World & he immediately says " cool can I meet her when we go back? She's pretty & I bet she'd ride the RnRC with me." So if Erin is looking for a 6yr old penpal who has a thing for cute Asian girls let us know.

Thanks for the talk on CRT I will be avoiding that place in Jan!! Those wands are evil. Can see it now----- dualing wands & sabers at the table. But it wouldnt be the kids it would be me & DH!!

I love those flashback pictures!!!!!!! You guys looked awesome back in '91... ain't nothing like those denim shirts My aunt was in her early twenties back in '91 and she had a few of those button-up denim shirts that she'd wear over leggings, and I remember thinking she was the coolest ever I miss the 90s!

Great update. Erin's so cute and it looks like she had a great time with the princesses. I just had to point out that I know the restaurants more for atmosphere than anything, but it's highway robbery charging $25 a kid for a little hot dog and some fruit Thank God I don't have kids yet

Jenn, it's one of my favorite meals at WDW. Perhaps next time I go with Erin (probably sometime in 2010), we'll have a special Uncle/Niece meal and maybe I can get a better shot of Jasmine...

The 80's and much of the 90's are so hazy for me......

Chapter 72. Saturday, February 9th. Day 10. Part 6. Can a pirate be Asian...and sweaty?

When we last left you, we were saying goodbye to Josh, VeJoJo and Baby J. Wendy, Derek and Erin had finished their lunch and we were all going to go on the Pirates of the Caribbean. Well the adults anyway. Erin had ridden Pirates before and wanted no part of the darkness and the drop and the pirates.

While Derek, Kim and I rode Pirates. Wendy took the kids on the Jungle Cruise.

Erin always needs to be front and center:

It looks like someone or something scares Erin. Perhaps Mom is saying "Let the man do his job":

After Pirates Kim and I left to go off our own. We walked over to Big Thunder to get FastPasses.

We noticed this unfortunate sight along the way:

That's right Splash Mountain was down for rehab. Flat Winkers started wigging out...Oh wait, she always has that expression on her face:

We got our FastPasses and Flat Winkers insisted on some photo opportunities:

After we got our FastPasses, Kim wanted to go get another Dole Whip, but a different kind...I didn't know there were different kinds... I wasn't exactly thrilled about a return visit to Aloha Isle. If you remember our last visit......

We made our way back to Adventureland:

And we stopped at the Pirates shop for a little browsing:

Look who we ran into. I didn't know Captain Jack was actually Asian...and wore glasses:

After our run in with the Sweaty Asian Pirate, I had to use the facilities.Restroom Rating Alert

I'm generally not a fan of these restrooms located in a breezeway between Adventureland and Frontierland. The restroom had water everywhere on the counters and floor, but the stalls were clean. The restroom was odor free. My rating? A triple flush

On our way to Aloha Isle, we saw this:

Imagine our surprise when Kim was able to snag a Dole Whip in mere seconds. well okay, maybe a minute or two:
