Ding ding ding! Get that girl a prize. You win.

But is it sad that I can identify a country that easily from where the other countries are??? ;)

Okay, here are my submissions:

Kathryn
Cathleen or Kathleen
Cameron
Lauren

I might think of more...because I am a pest like that! ;)

If you name the baby a C name -- you would have a C,D,and E!

Okay, Wendy. I have to submit my two DD's names, since they meet your criteria of ending in "n" (which was also one of mine, by the way).

Megan and Lauren

And the personalization thing... that was a requirement for me too (especially for girls). I grew up with Jodi as a name and could never find anything with my name on it (unless it was spelled Jodie or Jody). I hated it. So, I vowed that if I had girls, they were going to have names that were easily found!

My "n" criteria actually just came after my first two (which weren't intentional - just turned out that way) but now that we have a pattern, I thought I'd continue with it... ha ha ha.

I had a different "personalization" trauma - even though my name is spelled "traditionally" (vs. Wendi or Wendee), because it began with a W, a lot of times they'd run out of space at the end (on the racks or shelves or wherever) so I'd never be able to find things with my name on it (they'd end with Victoria or something like that...). So that scarred me in a different way... ha ha ha ha ha. So no W, Y or Z names for me... :rotfl2:

Further disclaimers: I reserve the right to not comment on any of the submissions for risk of offending anyone. So feel free to submit away, but I may or may not comment on them - so please don't take it one way or the other (like or dislike). All submitters must have thick skins and not be offended if I don't comment on a name (ha ha).

Don't want to give false hope (by saying I really like a particular name...) or offend by saying that we don't (ha ha).

So just know that TPTB will accept any and all submissions for consideration.

- the management :lmao:

I am sooooo offended:snooty: :rotfl:

I always loved the people who gave me names for my girls and then got upset when I did not think it was right for our child. :rotfl2: I mean we have a last name that ends in ski. So nothing could end in the "E" sound.

My girls mean something to me. Caitlyn after my grandmother Kathryn and Evelyn after my DH's grandmother (same name)

So I would never be offened if you did not want to use them.

Just having some fun with you.

I thought the same thing about Sioban. Always explaining how to say it. I love Declan and thought if we would to have a boy that it would fit in nicely with the other 2.

My DH wanted to name a boy if we had one Ving??? that is right Ving??? :rotfl2:

Ok, I think you mean "my girls' NAMES mean something to me..." because I would HOPE that your GIRLS mean something to you... ha ha ha ha ha. :lmao:

And yes, it was always interesting when people would comment on your choice of name (or what you were thinking of)... so even now when people ask me if we've chosen a name I hesitate even sharing what we're thinking of - because people always comment on whether it's "good" or not. And especially if they don't like it, then it makes you second guess your ideas because you already know someone who doesn't "approve"... ha. Even if they don't say one way or the other, you can often tell by their face or their "non-verbal" responses what they think of it... ha. So I just avoid that if I can...

I didn't think you were offended... just teasing you right back.

And about Ving... you mean like Ving Rhames? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000609/

Interesting but again, where the heck are you going to find something personalized for that? But I guess there's no mispronouncing that. Ha. :thumbsup2

One more update with the kids and then................

Jordan in board shorts......

Whoo hoo, bring it on!

:lmao: Just the opposite for me. I graduated in a class of less than 300 and there were 6 Michelles. I wanted something more unique for my kids, I also wanted something shorter.

Sorry about Siobhan (Yes I rechecked the spelling) but at least it's Irish!! So how about Kristin!! or Krystyn!!

So, let me get this straight...you guys sent Erin and Dylan to World Showcase with Flat Winkers as their adult chaperone?!? I guess she was a good chaperone, cuz they came back all in one piece!

Adorable pics again.

Is Dylan relieving himself on that rock?

When I was pregnant with dd, there were 4 of us in the office pregnant and due within a month of each other (3 were having girls) and three of us on dh's side of the family having girls within two weeks of each other. Once we picked our name, we told EVERYBODY, b/c if we didn't claim dibs, we would have ended up with Hortense, or something!:rotfl: We named her Olivia, which I thought was traditional without being old-ladyish. It's become popular enough now, but not too popular--I think there is just one or two other Olivias in her school, and none in the same grade. My name is Jamie, and I always thought it was a boy's name growing up, nothing personalized except in boy colors. I would have given anything to be a Michelle!

For Irish names I like Aisling (I know, hard to figure out pronunciation, which is why dd is not that name). But maybe, Ashlynn? I really like Brooklyn for a girl, too. How about Rhiannon or Shannon? Cara?

We learned after our first child not to tell anyone the baby's name until it was already on the birth certificate. :)

I'm a pretty easy going person but I used to get really fed up with all of the advice I got when I was pregnant (I'm sure that being a big hormonal mess didn’t help either :rotfl: ).

DH and I had decided that we weren't telling friends or family the names we picked out until the baby was born so we wouldn't get any of "those" comments. We ended up only telling one family prior to the birth...the family that we were sharing a table with at Teppan Edo in Epcot (I was 5 months along at the time). Kinda cool to have a Disney story with our baby names.

PS...the baby is now 1 yr old Liam Evan

Hmmm when I was pregnant with Daisy no one approved of her name, once she was born people couldn't stop telling us how great it was. People are funny!
