Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

I'm glad you mention that....I saw it and wondered about it. I was thinking to wait until closer to our trip though. Do you think it would help with planning, or is it more useful for when you are actually at the parks?

i would guess it is more useful in the parks. but it shows park times, park maps, character times when they are out...alot of stuff that i have already put into my planning book for the parks:headache: so it would probably be helpful to download the one day free option so you could see what its like first. I just downloaded the 10 option but we only have 13 days until our trip so it gives me that much time to play with it. It looks really cool!:cool1:

That Verizon App rocks!!!!! I used it for the NYE trip and I think at times I would have seriously been wandering around without it.

Once you pull into the parking lot of a park you can see attraction wait times and fast pass availability and return times. The return times are accurate, I checked them while standing next to the machine, but for popular rides, like Soarin and TT, if you check while you are in the parking lot, the long walk will add to the FP return times of course.

I loved the app for that reason and would get it again for the next trip. It does not use much data time either. The only drawback was I had to use my son's phone since my phone would not support it. I am hoping by my next trip they will add my phone to the list.

So spank me. Round trip tickets are $2,100. Catch me if you can. Who knows maybe you'll like the boiled sheep head and want to stay?

This almost made me spit my water out all over my laptop! :lmao:

Boiled sheep head. Yummy!

Jordan, looking forward to your plan changes...will this be number 8 or 9? I think you beat LL! ;)

Lmao. Try in the middle of a dead quiet UPS store regarding farting. :D :rotfl:

AND later told my mom he was proud of her for pooping the in the potty in the restroom of Johnny Rockets! :roftl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: OH that is good stuff!!!

Kyle is our comedian !!! He has come up with some dooooozies !!!! The girls just tend to have "BLOND" moments !!!!

Hey Jordan! I have been reading your PTR for forever, trying to get caught up. I finally finished today and I have to admit by this point I am brain dead. I had so much to say and now I can't remember any of it.

Except, that I am really happy that you are trying Boma & Kona Cafe. Those are 2 of my favorite places to eat and I think you will really like them.

How is your weather lately? Has it calmed down at all? Up here, it has been wild and crazy. SO much rain, it has not stopped raining for days and I hear we have another 2 weeks of non-stop rain! We had some really high winds for a few days and Mt. Shasta (which is approx. 1 hour north) lost all their power and they shut down the freeway due to snow. So that created chain requirements and people were getting stuck here waiting for it to open. The road up there was closed for so long that the traffic was backed up to a stand still on the freeway (3 lanes!) for 6 hours. All of the big trucks were sitting across all 3 lanes and no one could get around them to get off the exits. What a nightmare! So glad that I read about it online before leaving work and I was able to avoid it. Hope it is doing better down on your end of the state!

Sorry, Brook!! :rotfl2: I couldn't resist. Boiled sheep head! Not!

Thanks! Maybe I'll get it a few days before we leave then.

Thanks for sending your bad weather mojo my way ;)

Hi Peeps !!! Where is everyone !!!!!!!

It is really slow....

Yes! It has been remarkably slow these days (although honestly, that's a little less pressure on me to not have to come back to 20 pages after only 2 days... ha ha ha ha :rotfl:)... but here's my report as to my lack of response (and perhaps Jordan has a similar level of busy/craziness/illness keeping him from DISing as much as desired.):

1) Dad is home from the hospital after 5 days (yay!) but we got home after midnight last night (zzzzzzz) so it was a long day. My folks will be at my house for the week just resting and watching kids mid-week. He is feeling better after a recent transfusion and so his blood pressure is up now (good). He was having some low blood cell issues and other things but those seem to be ok now. Now he is just dealing with the chemo which so far, doesn't seem to have any major effects. Yay. :thumbsup2

2) Dylan is now experiencing fever off and on. So we have to keep him and my dad separated and he's been a little cranky (although he's loving being able to just lay around and watch TV). Prayers that he'll be better by WDW!! He's pulling a Jordan and getting sick before our trips... but I don't think it's because he's working too much and now is letting his body run down and lose the battle to the germs. Ha.

3) I haven't gotten Kim/Allan's ME tickets yet (a little nervous since I will need to mail them to them after I get them :sad2:). Hopefully I'll get them soon since I added them not long after I made our ressies and I already have our tickets.

4) Have a lot to do before we go and not a lot of time to do it in. :scared: Some work related, some trip related, some family related, some home related, some just life related. But then again, that always seems par for the course before a trip, thus adding to the maximum enjoyment of the trip. Ha.

5) 11 days out and I haven't started packing yet. I'm thinking it's going to be done on Feb 5. Ha ha ha. (note: we leave on the 6th) That's how my life is these days.

Ok, that's my quick state of the union address in my world. Now back to the silence that is Jordan's PTR.

:rotfl2:

Hang in there Wendy, you're going to Disney in 11 days!

I'm so glad to here your Dad is doing better. Prayers coming your way that he continues to improve and that Dylan gets better.

Think happy thoughts!

Wendy,

Thanks for taking the time to give us a life update. I'm glad your dad is home and doing reasonably well with the chemo... hope that continues!

Sending prayers  and pixiedust! pixiedust:

Wendy~ thanks for the state of the union address.....that line was too funny!

I'm so glad to hear that your dad is doing better.
Are your parents going to stay with someone else while you're gone?

At least Dylan is sick now and not while on vacation, and I'd enjoy laying around and watching tv too.;)

So glad that your dad is a little better and out of the hospital. It is good that the chemo isn't having any bad effects on him. :goodvibes

Sorry Dylan is sick!! My DS has developed a nasty cough too. He was on meds all last week but started getting better. Then....WHAM, he woke up with it again this morning. :sad2: Luckily we still are without fever so that is good. Hope yours gets better and FAST!!

I know what you mean about the "busy's" right before a trip. I've been running, running, running! But I'm HOPING that I'm on the downhill side of that now. Hopefully I can start packing by this weekend. ......hopefully!!

That's what I'm thinking. Since there are still ADR's to be had, I don't think it's going to be TOO busy until it gets closer to that weekend.

I shifted my plans around a tiny bit. It's really not as bad as I thought. Our plans are all pretty much the same, I just updated the hours on my itenerary as well as fireworks/parade (spectro) schedules. Instead of having a certain plan for each day, I've added an alternate plan incase we change our minds. I think it will give us more flexability and will be less stressful if we get there and the crowds are bad.

The one main change that I made was on Superbowl sunday. We are to be at Epcot that day. Dinner at Teppan Edo early. Then I had us trying to run to DHS for Fantasmic and then run to MK after that for EMH.(this is IF the Saints DON'T play in the superbowl) But now I think we can do Fantasmic on the 11th much easier. So that puts us running around a lot less on the 7th. :thumbsup2 If the Saint's DO play in the superbowl then we will be watching the Superbowl after Teppan Edo at a STILL undecided destination. (probably our room because DS will be tired) Kick off is 6:30pm!! :yay: We'll see if we make it to the EMH after the Superbowl or not. I guess that will depend on if DS wants to get up and go again.

I had an idea......let me run it by Wendy and Derek.....

this is the first i have heard about the hours changes and i just printed out new tour guide mike things today but i will admit i did not look at them completely. and we just finished putting together our park booklet today!

Though I just downloaded the new verizon disney parks app and it has EVERYTHING on that thing! LOVE IT!!

I thought I was done last week until all the changes..:headache:

I've spent most of my day working on itinerary plans. I'm trilled they've added another Fantasmic. Now we won't be as rushed.

I think I'm pretty much done with changes for today.;)
