Great shoes Jordan. :thumbsup2 Isn't it great when everything just falls together like that and you actually find what you want! Now onto your park bag :lmao: just kidding!
Continued prayers for your family

Ooh, very nice! Now, you said you tried them on with shorts - does that mean you are going to wear them with shorts? Just askin...

EDIT: Uncle update. Well the good news is I was misinformed about my uncle. He does not have cancer in his one remaining kidney. This info was good to hear. However, there is a new tumor in the area where his other kidney used to be. As stated before, surgery is not an option at this point. He will begin 4 rounds of chemo over the next 3-4 months. I don't believe this will affect the vacation unless my uncle were to take a turn for the worse over the next few weeks. Thanks again for all your support. Love you guys!

That sounds like good news - at least better than if it'd been in the remaining kidney.

UPDATE: just an update on my dad... first off, I can't multi-quote everyone but thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers for our family. As my dad says, you can never have enough people praying for you! Appreciate you all, even though most we have never even met! The blessings of being in the same "family".

Anyway - Dad is home and staying with us for a few days (while my mom babysits) and is doing well so far. He's behaving himself and drinking lots of fluids :thumbsup2 His chemo is scheduled for next week, Mon-Wed and then he's off for three weeks (puts him just about the time of our trip for the 2nd round). So hopefully the first round will be ok and not too taxing. Anyway, we'll take it from there after that.

Blessings that good friends have offered to help with childcare so we have next week pretty much covered so it should put minimal stress on my inlaws to take up the slack, as they have their own responsibilities with the kids anyway, so we don't want to overburden them either.

Looks like you've got everything squared away to make this time as a stressfree as it can be, considering. How awesome that everyone is coming together to help out. Sending more prayers your way!

My family calls them "sharts". I'll leave it to you to decipher....

Oh no... you didn't...:rotfl2:

Just back from the world.

As for theme pictures, you need a sign or a flat for the sleeping people to have their picture taken with.
Something like
Sleeping Beauty caught at Disney World.

I caught many sleeping pics and a few drunks! A group was " drinking around the world" at EPCOT. I am guessing they started in Cananda by the way they were acting when we saw them in China :scared1: .

I have some funny pics of them in Norway.

Going back to read!

Nice shoes Jordan! :thumbsup2

I have a pair of Clark's that are one of my favorite pairs of shoes and they've held up very well.

Wishing your uncle & whole family the best!

Cherie~~~~ You're my heroine!!!

Needing wet wipes.

:confused3 I'm totally lost....What did she do?!?! :)

Sorry, I should have quoted her picture of the "accident". I've actually DONE that in a grocery store once. :scared1: I was pregnant, and sick, and oh, never mind. All I know is I couldn't get home fast enough!

I have a poop in the pants story....I'll tell it some day. All I will say now.....it was solid and it was the best feeling in the world.

Jordan, I am sorry about your uncle. I will be praying for him and for your family during this very testing time. On another note though, I love the shoes. They are very cool:thumbsup2

thanks.

I love them, too.

I feel lucky that I found the shoes. They only had 1 pair in my size and it was even mislabeled as size 9.

Ooh, very nice! Now, you said you tried them on with shorts - does that mean you are going to wear them with shorts? Just askin...

Yeah...I'm not thinking that's gonna happen

I'd like to hear more about your trip..Drunks at Epcot. I'll have to pay closer attention.

People sleep wherever at WDW....sleep happens.

Nice shoes Jordan! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the good wishes.

I've seen so many poor reviews of Clarks. Thanks for the positive review.

Ewwwwwww. Not a mental picture I wanted.

Not a physical situation I wanted. Everything came out okay in the end.............

So nice to see a man who has good taste in clothing and shoes.
Are those shoes going to go with shorts? Hmmm.
Lets see. try it on. :rotfl:

Wow All caught up! I was 30 pages behind

Wendy/ Jordan - sorry to hear about your dad/uncle, sending prayers for everyone.

Nice choice in shoes, love the shopping expedition. Not sure I can go 5 hours. Never been a shopper just a buyer. Most of my Christmas Shopping has been on line this year. Could not bear the crowds.

That being said, yes I went to World during the most busy time. Somehow that does not count as crowds. And I shop there too. I guess my rules just don't apply there :lmao:

As soon as I can get the photos uploaded I can share the story. I was on a mission for pictures of inappropriate attire and drunks this trip. My friends were Disney newbies but went along for the antics once we started spotting them. in fact my friends pointed out more than I could see.

Fun was had by all.

Note to self...Must be funny to the nice people on the Disboards, <knocking ones self in the forhead> Must be funny! Not scary!!
:rotfl:

I have to admit the inspiration came from an episode on Oprah....The one where Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston were promoting the Bruce Almighty movie. In part they acted out this scene when early on an audience member asked if they could take a picture of him, if I remember right they had the audience members come and join in. :rotfl: It was probably the funniest show I had ever seen!!!
Of course the brilliant mind of Jim Carrey came up with this and orchestrated the whole thing, it was so dang funny I thought I would pee my self!

Just found it on Youtube! It's at about 4:20, so look for it. I wish it was a better recording, but you'll get the point. You gotta watch it people. So dang funny!!

OMG, I knew exactly what you were talking about before watching it. I remember seeing it on Oprah. Too funny!:rotfl2:

It is. Really, really don't want a repeat of 2007. I remember how numb I felt most of that year.

Avatar.

 '07 was a doozie.

How was the movie?? DH wants to see this.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

Just about a month to go!!!! Whooooo hooo! :cool1:

:grouphug:
Glad that he is behaving himself. Sorry...that just sounds so cute.
So good that you have people to help with the kiddo's during this.

Shopping isn't fun.

I can't wait to see the pix!

We never made it in. We got there 1/2 hour early and the line went around the theater. I only want to see it in IMAX at this point. I guess I'm gonna have to wait a few more weeks.

Jim Carey had some great Pix theme ideas !!! I could see the one shot in front of the laundry with me and Blue pulling his hair while Winkers knees Him !!:rotfl2:

I have a poop in the pants story....I'll tell it some day. All I will say now.....it was solid and it was the best feeling in the world.

It IS a doozy. If it's the one I'm thinking of.... (you don't have more than one, do you....??? )

Wow All caught up! I was 30 pages behind

That seems to be the story of my life these days... ha ha ha. Whaddya wanna bet we see the PTR, part 3 of this before we leave in a month....? Bets anyone? Ha ha ha. :lmao:

Wendy/ Jordan - sorry to hear about your dad/uncle, sending prayers for everyone.

Thank you so much! Much appreciated. Jordan's mom and dad came to visit my dad today so that was nice. My dad's been having more back pain lately, so prayers that when he sees his regular doctor on Thursday that they'll be able to give him something to help with that, but he's thinking maybe it's the tumor that's causing the pain (a lot of people with cancer have experiences with pain...). Anyway, other than that he's ok, and chemo starts next week.... hope it all goes well.

I was on a mission for pictures of inappropriate attire and drunks this trip. My friends were Disney newbies but went along for the antics once we started spotting them. in fact my friends pointed out more than I could see.

Sounds hysterical! It's hard to explain our nuttiness sometimes to newbies but so funny once they "get on board"... I'm sure MUCH fun was had by all.

:grouphug: Glad that he is behaving himself. Sorry...that just sounds so cute. So good that you have people to help with the kiddo's during this.

Yeah, it's one of those situations where the kids become the parents, when the parents don't want to do what's best for them... ha ha ha. So my dad is not resisting when my mom is telling him to drink more and all that. We are blessed to have friends and family and a good support system. :grouphug:

Just like on the DIS

Chapter 69. One month from today....

It's hard to believe that 7 months have flown by and that in one month I will be leaving for WDW. In fact, one month from today, I will be in bed dreaming Disney Dreams in anticipation of my first full day at WDW. It's been quite a journey. In looking back, I'm surprised I made it in one piece.

Who can forget:

When this report started I was recently recovered from being in the hospital for a gangrene appendix:

There was Cast of Characters drama. With 2 guys from my church wanting to go, but not getting back to me. There was also many, many pictures of China:

Now that we're bumping up against the 30 day mark, there a shift in gears. It's almost like something clicks on in your head and says "HEY WAKE UP!!!!!! You're going in 30 days. Get a move on!" It's weird, but you actually feel different--at least I do.

I've got a lot to do between now and then.

Finish shopping
start packing
finalize budget (more on that later)
decide whether to do Early Bird Checkin for Southwest since I have a short connection time.
finish loose ends at work

and much, much more.....

stayed tuned....

one month from now........
