Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

While I probably wouldn't do it for the reasons stated, the line of thinking would be taking pix of ANYONE crying or ANYONE acting up....hmmm...I'll have to think about how to make that one family friendly and not get myself wrongly accused of something especially with all the rotten things that have happened at Typhoon Lagoon this past summer.

Sorry I haven't been around as much Dis friends. Holidays seem to take more time. :confused3 What's up with that, it's getting in the way of my Dising! ;) What happened at Typhoon Lagoon? I didn't hear about that.
I was thinking the same thing you mentioned pp, taking pictures or video of people having melt downs, it's not always children, as I've seen. :rolleyes1  I was actually one of them! I kept getting upset that we spent as much money as we did to go to WDW and all my daughter wanted to look at was the dang ducks! Whaaaaa?!
When I got after her for the 100th time to keep a move on away from the ducks, she started to cry! :confused3 Mind you she was 8 at the time, so it's not like she was a little four year old, I just never got the point of the ducks thing! :confused3  So I went into full on mode of Tom Hanks in A League Of Their Own, you know the one...."Are you crying?! Are you crying?! There's no crying in baseball!...." Except I added in Disney instead of baseball.
I eventually had my daughter laughing, with a lot of others around us that were listening. I guess I wasn't being hush hush about it, so that might have had something to do with it.
I'm sure this would have been funny if someone had recorded me doing it.
I have a digital camera so I can take still photo's or recordings, if you have a camera like that you could probably get away with it without people knowing you were recording them. Just a thought.
Of course you have to keep the Jordy classics. :lovestruc

i haven't looked to see who's suggested what but i have two ideas.

one, crazy shoes. like when women wear stillettos to MK. WHAT in the WORLD were they thinking???? i always take pictures of that.

second, female mullets. i don't know why but i always want pictures of this.

Mullets in general might be a good theme.

Kodak has been trailing the camera industry for a while now. I use a medium format film camera for my professional work and the shelves are fully stocked with Fuji and Agfa.

Will there be a time when film will be completely obselete? Or are there some instances where traditional film is the only choice?

I'm going to have to think a little about the picture themes......my first thought is you and characters........you don't post many of those.

maybe you and all the female characters......the step sisters would have fun with you.;)

my family's latest joke is to snap "crack" pictures and text them to eachother....it started when I was bored at a concert and the lady in front of me had a whale tail...

crack as in people's bums? :lmao:

yep...but I guess that wouldn't be dis friendly.:rotfl2:

seeing cracs when someone sits down or bends over is one of my pet peeves.

Crack kills.

Okay but I am NOT PoleDancing with Winkers :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl2: OK! That's just to hilarious not to comment on!
Rosie, just when I think you can't make me love and laugh at you any more than I do or have, you just come up with something to knock my sox off!! :lmao:

Jordy, I guess I should have read more before posting "my" already chosen idea. What about pics with other Dis peeps you don't know. If you spot them, get pics with them! :thumbsup2

Will there be a time when film will be completely obselete? Or are there some instances where traditional film is the only choice?

My guess is that as long as someone has a processing machine, they will offer to let people pay them to use it. I suppose they may stop making film at some point, but there are a lot of hardcore photogs who won't give up film as long as it's offered. I personally prefer film (medium format quality) but it has become a burden due to cost. I can't compete with all the housewives who buy a 1k digital camera and then never have another expense offering their services as a pro photographer. My medium format camera cost several thousand and it costs me around $20 in materials to shoot 16 frames. I am shopping for digitals but my conflict comes in the form of needing a new point and shoot as well as a pro. I'm not very good at decisions, especially ones that involve money. Sorry, I rambled. You asked. :lmao:

I love the redneck idea! As for mullets, that can be so funny - I guess I didn't realize there were many at WDW these days - there are alot in our town.
DS26 made a "sneaky" mullet video about 5 years ago with his video camera. It was :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:. He secretly filmed people and made comments like it was a news commentary. My favs:

Trailer Park - Mullet Habitat
Old Camaro - Mulletmobile
Mullet Family - herd of mullets

I can't remember alot of them, but it would have been great to publish - he couldn't cuz he didn't have permission.

Speaking of that I took this pic for you....
P1100680.jpg

Couldn't go do my power move unless I just kicked those kids off the curb....plus they have the sidewalks blocked off for the Osborne lights, but I thought you might enjoy :upsidedow

I can't believe you saw that and thought of me...that was very nice of you!

It really is amazing what you can see on people...and sometimes I'm thinking HOW can you wear THAT all day at a theme park??!!?? :confused3

Kinda like this?

you could do a series of "you know you're a red neck when".....

there's alot of possibilities with that...hair, clothes, behavior......

I like that idea !!!

see above picture.

How about allfour of us and we could get a "worst dressedperson to take the pix !!:rotfl2:
:lmao: You always have me in stitches lady.

You guys can dress me how ever you want and take pix...;):):scared1:
 You don't even want to know where my mind is going from this post! :cool2: I'm seeing fish nets....

Don't tempt us !!!!!:rotfl2:

yep...but I guess that wouldn't be dis friendly.:rotfl2:

Mine too. :sad2: I also hate the whole muffin top over the lower jeans teen girls wear these days. My daughter is 10 but she's so tall now that I have to find teens clothes for her to wear, do you know how hard it is to find pants that actually fit like a pair of pants should on a little girl?!? :sad2: It's so wrong. I did finally find a pair in levi's, but their almost impossible to find these days.

I couldn't even walk to the car in high heels lt alone around Disney!!
Ditto with you there Rose. I can't wear them any more with back issues. LOL! I actually tried to put on a pair of four inch heels for my daughter's enjoyment, you know how little girls are about high heel shoes. She so badly wanted to see what they looked like on mommy....wellllll, I actually couldn't walk! I mean literally couldn't walk! I was starting to panic and wondered if I could move to get them off! I can remember running in high heel shoes once upon a time! Now, it actually hurts me to see someone else wear them. :scared:

Weekend hiatus over, I"m free to post again.

Love the ideas coming in. Esp. love the hillbilly one. People leaving trash, throwing trash, line cutting, not washing hands, all that.

Odd angled shots or from different perspecitives. From up high, looking up, squatting down, etc....

Anyway, mostly just saying hi.

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was filled with making cookies, candy and just not on the go....well, not to much any way, it was nice. :cloud9:

Interesting. I looked around Target yesterday and couldn't find flim anywhere. I prefer digital anyway. I like instant gratification :lmao:

What kind of camera do you have? I'm looking to get a 12 mp camera before the next trip, but not sure if I should stick to Sony or Nikon or try Canon. Decisions, decisions.

BTW, you're SO lucky you live in SoCal. I'm knee deep in snow :sad2:

I have a Canon SD750. 2 years old now as I got it right before my last WDW trip. 8 MP. Thinking about getting a new one, but have other priorities as far as the upcoming trip goes.

It was 70 today. 80 yesterday again.

SSR too I think. I think those 3 share their staff but need to go back and look at my info.

Okay, thanks.

Granted to see some you'd need to be at a resort but...

If I do my resort tour on my resort transfer day, then I'll have an opportunity to see some of the rarer forms of transpo.:thumbsup2

Passed out by the pool people. Or people who clearly never went to bed. "A the morning after" series

Do pictures of myself count?;)

I LOVE that one!

In the vein of people holding hands you could have people skipping, jumping, singing...random acts of happiness.

In the vein of drunk people....LARGEST drink, smallest drink, best drink, worst drink, ugliest, cheapest, most expensive, wierdest. Or just pictures of drinking around the world....showcase with masks, or hats.

Where in the world is this cocktail from?

I like the Random Acts....If I can catch some Kodak moment type pix!:thumbsup2

Drinks from the World. I like that one too.

How about Brazillians !!!!:rotfl2:That was some Bum Crack we saw at Pop in Sept. !! Kyle's eyes got BIG and he says " Gramma her bum is hanging out " :lmao:

Brazilians. I wonder if it'll be bad in Feb....

I was actually going to start doing pictures this trip of people wearing crazy stuff to the parks and crazy shoes. I see so much weird stuff every trip and never take pictures of it. This time I will!

The idea of the crack pictures!! :rotfl2:

I can never get my camera out fast enough....

Only Jodan would come up with this stuff !! Oh wait a minute we are helping him !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

you misspelled my name jodan which in japanese means joke.

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was filled with making cookies, candy and just not on the go....well, not to much any way, it was nice. :cloud9:

Hey Millie!

Yes, and no. I just posted this super bizarre dream I had last night (on my PTR) between that and allergies, I was up most of the night.

But, we did watch some Christmas movies, made a bunch of cookies, and put up the last decorations. I also finished my Christmas quilt- all that's left is binding it. It's sooooooo cozy with flannel!

I expect most threads will slow way down over the next week or two, but the "regulars"will still be here having fun!!

Oh my Jordan,

I'm wondering if you are still at church...;)

Church was snowed out here in the MidAtlantic with our 18" plus...:rolleyes1

No matter how funny or tempting...no children photos...you just can't do that in today's world...no matter how innocent it may be...:confused3 people can take it very badly...

Yeah, it's too bad because there are some great moments that could be caught between parent and child especially somewhere as magical as WDW. Now it's just construed as creepy.

I can't believe you got a unexpected "bum" squeeze during a massage at Disney...i may have to go back and find that in your old trip reports...(reminds me of a time that a friend asked me if above the waist frontal female anatomy was to be massaged during a massage...-since she had never had one and the masseuse did......that was an ackward conversation...

Yikes about your friend.

I didn't even know what to do when she did that. However, she must've felt my behind tense up immediately when she went there....:rolleyes1

i know wedges aren't as bad as heels, but when i've been wearing crocs and sneakers the whole trip and my feet are hurting, i can't imagine what hers feel like!!!

I couldn't even walk to the car in high heels lt alone around Disney!!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Are high heels comfortable? and can they be worn all day w/o discomfort?

We all have our moments....and daughter laughing means it was all good in the end.

Now to catch that on tape...hmmm...I have to video feature on my camera. I may need to try it. Haven't even really used it.

Hello!

now that some irony!:lmao:

What makes it worse. Japanese don't pronounce the letter "R". So if they are from Japan and trying to learn my name, they naturally say JODAN and then they just start laughing at me....Thanks Mom and Dad.

Our new teammate that just joined us is Japanese-American (1st gen. immigrated to the US 20 years ago) and doesn't pronounce r at all. "World" is "word". I guess the r/l combo must be hard??

Anway, she says the r is more like something between l and d.

I'll have to try out my new J. word on her, and see if she laughs...

:scared1: that first one made me laugh out loud. i guess, being from the south, i'm used to seeing people in overalls so the second one wasn't as bad for me.

check out this lady.....

DSC03746.jpg

bless her heart....she just loved mickey. and she's crafty. put those 2 together and this is what you get.

Are high heels comfortable? and can they be worn all day w/o discomfort?

no and no. really, i wear heels a lot for work so i'm used to them. as long as i don't have to stand in them all day, they don't bother me. but when i used to work in a restaurant i would hostess every now and then and when i'd wear heels after about 3 hours straight of standing on them i'd feel like a nail was being driven into my heel. SERIOUSLY. and that's when i was young, like 19, and things like that didn't bother me as much. that's why i can't understand why people would want to wear them to a theme park.

oh, i have to share this. you were talking about jodan being "joke" in japanese. it made me think of this girl that used to work with ray. her name was masayo and she was from japan. she had come over here to go to brenau university and she ended up working in customer service at the company ray works at. well, one day she was eating peanuts and ray walked past her desk and she was hunched over, rubbing her stomach. he asked her what was wrong and she just shook her head and said, "too much peanuts." only she didn't say peanuts. with her accent it sounded like something else. take out the T in peanuts. :lmao:

I have a CM idea floating around my head that FauntleroyFan suggested a while back....

::yes::

here is an idea jordan did not see if anyone had this

this is all encompassing theme.

"things that when you look at it you say what the *&#$"

can be anything from weird dressed people, to bad hair to dragging there kid across the floor, to somone taking a pic with a character and hand in a inappropriate spot.

i bet you can have a top ten of what the (*#& pics from your trip even a top 20
