Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

I am sooo excited !!! I have been working 12 hour days to get all caught up !!! My boss took me out for breakfast this morning so it was a good day!!! I am pretty much packed but need to pick up my second ME Tag tomorrow !!! Go to the bank etc and Iam all set !! Judy will get my boarding pass tomorrow morning !!She also set the time or taking mer to the airport!!! Oh Boy it is CLOSE!!!!!

Can't remember if I have posted on here before but I have been reading along for a while. Anyways.... I just wanted to let you know to keep thinking positive thoughts about the weather. We just got back less than 2 weeks ago and our weather forecast the week before had us in the upper 60's / low 70's all week w/ rain 4 out of our 8 days. When we arrived, all week long the temps were upper 70's / low 80's and it only rained once and that was overnight while we were catching some zzzz's. Those weather people always get it wrong. Trust me, I work at a TV news station. I do hope you have a great trip! I am going thru my WDW withdrawal stage since being back.
party::welcome:party:

That's good to know. I hope they are forecasting on the low side.....

I'll have a GREAT trip-no matter what the weather.

What time do you arrive at WDW on Thursday?

I know Jenn!!!!!

I like the colors too!

TL is so inviting. I just hope I get to go. I'm thinking I'll go over even if it's just to take pix!

TL much better than math....

I wonder how I can incorporate fuzzy Disney math into my lesson tomorrow :scratchin

Forgot to add, on the weather. Last year at the same time we had a pretty huge swing over the course of the trip. From 50 to 82! It was a little unpredictable and didn't always match the forecast exactly. However if you are flexible you might have a nice mid-day at TL. Mornings will probably be too chilly and it does cool down fast starting at 5 or even a little earlier but we had some toasty mid-days. Layers and flexiblity! I would agree though, TL will NOT be crowded.

Hard to pack, but I have a little bit of everything going into the suitcase tonight.......

Thanks for the information about your last trip.

Great update and love the shoes! Very nice. We were thinking of doing a miniature golf day too. Not sure when, we'll just play it by ear. We never have done it before so we thought it'd be nice to squeeze it in somewhere. I was keeping my eye on the weather for a hot day to do TL. I've been wanting to go there but we never do. It's always too cold in Feb. And in '08 I was sick. We are bringing suits just in case but I doubt it's going to happen.

Yes LOTS TO DO over the next 3 days. I'm doing laundry every day. Trying to catch up and then keep up until we leave. Since we are wearing jeans all week, I will need to wash all of our jeans the night before so we have every pair to bring with us. I feel like laundry is a never ending thing. I LOATHE THE LAUNDRY!!! :laundy:

Tuesday right now looks like the day if it's going to happen--74 or 75 for the day time high.....but like people said weather is fickle.

I will need to do the same thing with Jeans on thursday night.

I LOVE :laundy:

Take video of the burn off too...if you can. That would be something to see!

I'm still trying to convince my roommate to let me take his FLIP video.

People watching can be pretty relaxing. :D

Nice sneakers! And I can't believe you live in just 2 days. Time has flown!

the last 8 months has flown by for sure.

How to justify another trip to WDW in the fall. How about trying the FDM on that?;)

Ohhhh I need to try that. And doesn't F&W make a fall trip a bargain? You're getting an extra event at NO EXTRA COST.

So, are you going to get an AP? It would make a fall trip so much more appealing. Or you can head to WDW at the end of July and hang a couple of DISers :rolleyes1

My FDM today has me justifying extending the trip to save $100 on airfare :lmao:

BTW, 5 tickets from NYC to MCO are currently $1872 on American. I am hoping prices come down. Delta's about $1500, but I hate Delta.

I hope the weather is a little warmer than they are predicting too ~ it's hard to pack for February in Florida, for sure! I won't go to a water park if it's less than 85 degrees so we didn't get that option on our tickets, but I hope you get to go.

I was planning to buy shoes last night also - and then I broke my toe. :scared1:

OH NO! How's it feeling? Can you walk okay on it?

no, it really really hurts - worse than when I broke my ankle. I'm wearing a croc at work today - a Texas A&M one at that. :lmao: I am heading to urgent care now to see what they can do to speed the healing or at least double check that we taped it up right. and maybe give me something for the pain other than advil and wine.

Told y'all I was clumsy. :rotfl2:

I hope you can manage the pain!!!!!

Can you say ECV?;)

TL looks beautiful and incredibly inviting in those pictures....:cloud9: I hope it warms up for you to go and enjoy it!

I likee your new shoes!!

TL is one of my favorite places at WDW. If only I could build one in my backyard.

I really like my shoes but perhaps they are not the most age appropriate.

jordan, i saw others fear for you on the soles of the shoes not bending alot for walking, if you find that happening, i have always loved new balance, and they are great for walking in, have used those for the last few years, and they seem to break in really fast,

and usually kohls has them for around 40 bucks all the time.

NB shoes/Kohls/40 bucks...duly noted my friend.:thumbsup2

Hard to pack, but I have a little bit of everything going into the suitcase tonight.......

Thanks for the information about your last trip.

It does make for a heavier suitcase but saves on emergency purchases!

SO Close!

Nice update. You're getting close dude! The sneaks look good, hope they feel good. Dan mentioned New Balance, that's what I've gotten for my last 3 or 4 pairs, and they've worked for me.

Ice skating -- can't do it. I grew up roller skating, and never went ice skating until once when I was dating Judy (who can skate backwards and all that good stuff). Why in the world are the two so different? They look the same, but aren't!

Question for you: Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? I've never been to either, but would like to hit one this summer (planning TL for now). It looks like BB is a little more "adventurous", so I'm thinking TL may be good for us until the kids get a little older. It seems like you're a TL guy?

I've been to both....mos def a TL guy. Tropical, wave pool, ambiance...watercoaster...it's all very relaxing even when it's kinda busy. BB is too white. All that fake snow just reflects. It's not nearly as relaxing. That's just me.

Ice skating is harder on the ankles I think.

I was checking out your update... great pics of TL! (have any more?)

I think you can find some fun things to do if TL doesn't pan out. Have you considered going to *gasp* Sea World or US? How about going to Celebration? Or checking out a Magic game?

Mini-golf sounds fun. We were going to do that in October but by 11am it was already 90 out.. so we chilled at the pool instead. :beach:

Tim, I haven't ever considered going offsite only because I don't budget for a rental car. I have a friend coming to visit who lives in orlando so if the weather stays cool, I can go offsite......

Thanks! The doctor said it should be better by then. Most of the damage is between my toes since I really hit in between my 4th and 5th toe on the corner of the futon leg.

I told him when I was leaving and he said it should be feeling better by then, just ice, rest, tape and advil. He offered me vicodin but it makes me sick, the anti-inflammatories are fine for me (with a glass of wine as needed). I can already tell it's getting better, but you bet I will be in a good pair of hard/tennis shoes when we get there! If someone stepped on it I would probably deck them!

I can't imagine needing a chair by then, if I were leaving this week I'd probably be on the phone renting an ECV or something. Luckily my job is sedentary, just have to baby the foot until it's time to go.

And I'm a size 10, really a 10.5, so the boot would too small...although it sounds just my style! :rotfl:

Oooh, you and my girlie would get along famously. She loves anything with bling! So much so that even with a broken foot and afraid to be in the ER, she managed to pipe up as soon as they brought her the boot saying we needed to put some bling on it. She even started thinking of going to the store and getting what we didn't already have. :rotfl:
I'm soooo glad your going to be OK for your trip!! This is good news, and yes the tennies will save you, big time!

Sorry for hijacking Jordan - I promised shoe talk, not toe talk! No high heeled crocs for me this trip!
OK Jordy, hi-jacking over! Promise. :rolleyes1

So for all you peeps going Feb 13-20...just look for the girl in the aggie shoes!
Go Tex-as! Go Tex-as! It's your birthday! Have a party!....
Did I say I wouldn't hi-jack anymore?!? :smooth: Did I do ThaAAAt?!? <in best East Texan accent possible>

I can't wait to SLEEP.

I'm trying to rest...but people are pulling me in 100's of different directions right now.
Jordy....say it with me....Nnnnnoooooo. "I'm going on vacation, you'll have to handle this one on your own until I get back."
Can you say no? I know that you can. <said in my best Mr. Rodgers voice> :rotfl:
No worries, just a couple more work days and you'll be on your most wonderful vacation, sleeping in, doing your own thing and no one to answer to. :thumbsup2 Hang in there Jordy.

Camille,

I was going to try and leave work early, but now have 2 meetings that got scheduled today...:headache:
