Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

Wow - is it really almost time to leave?!! Have a fabulous Magical one-of-the-best-trip-reports-ever kind of trip, Jordan (hey, no pressure :confused3:lmao:)!!!!

2 DAYS  , I am so JEALOUS!!! It is 9 degrees here so 60 sounds pretty good to me but I really hope it gets in the mid 70's cause TL is AWESOME and something tells me your tr about it would leave me in tears, no pressure :rotfl:

Love the shoes!!!:Hope they are as comfy as they look!!

Have a Blast and can't wait for your TR
:cheer2:

nice shoes! :thumbsup2 i always see shoes i want when i don't have the money to spend on them. then when i have it i can't find anything! it's really annoying.

3 days!!!!!! :dance3:

Josh, I don't want to be the
"bearer of bad news about your Puma's"
but the sole of the shoes don't bend.
My sons and dh wear DC's, Ecko's, etc.,
and they complain that their legs hurt after long
walks with those style of shoes. The shoes are fine
if you are going somewhere for a few hours, but not
long days in a park.
But maybe it will be okay for you, but I just wanted to let you know.
So, I expect a good shoe report when you return.

Do you do TL solo?
If it is warm enough on my Friday,
I may go there for a few hours before I have to pick my dh up-he is a non water park person and I know he would tell me to go, when he don't have to be there.

:banana::banana::banana: 3 days!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Love the new sneakers. The colors are great.
Ahhh Typhoon Lagoon looks so relaxing. So much more appealing right now than teaching the joy of multiplication.

Jordan, your new tennies rock! You will look very young and hip (and Inow probably sound old). I've heard that if the shoe fits and feels really good then it doesn't really need to be broken in.

Can't remember if I have posted on here before but I have been reading along for a while. Anyways.... I just wanted to let you know to keep thinking positive thoughts about the weather. We just got back less than 2 weeks ago and our weather forecast the week before had us in the upper 60's / low 70's all week w/ rain 4 out of our 8 days. When we arrived, all week long the temps were upper 70's / low 80's and it only rained once and that was overnight while we were catching some zzzz's. Those weather people always get it wrong. Trust me, I work at a TV news station. I do hope you have a great trip! I am going thru my WDW withdrawal stage since being back.

Forgot to add, on the weather. Last year at the same time we had a pretty huge swing over the course of the trip. From 50 to 82! It was a little unpredictable and didn't always match the forecast exactly. However if you are flexible you might have a nice mid-day at TL. Mornings will probably be too chilly and it does cool down fast starting at 5 or even a little earlier but we had some toasty mid-days. Layers and flexiblity! I would agree though, TL will NOT be crowded.

Chapter 80. Dreaming big..then i woke up

You know sometimes when you're dreaming, you dream big? Of course, when planning this trip, I dreamed big. I had memories of my last trip in 08 floating in my head. I thought about my return to Typhoon Lagoon...Heaven on Earth....

So I planned 2 days to TL. Of course, I also knew weather could be a factor. I thought surely in 12 full days that there would be 2 days with 75 or above temps.....Well........not so much. The 10 ten forecast has a few days in the low 70s, but none in the TL range of high 70's, low 80's. Weather being weather, all that could change, but so far most days show highs in the 60s.

Instead of changing the itinerary this late in the game, I am leaving things as they are. However, I do have a few ideas cooking just in case Typhoon Lagoon definitely becomes a non-option. Miniature Golfing may become an option as one round free comes with the Magic Your Way Package. I wouldn't necessarily want to go by myself so we'll see how this option pans out. Spa Massage is another option, although less desirable because of the additional costs involved. I do love a good massage. So I keeping that as an option. Sea Raycers is a viable option. I've done this 3 times before and it's a total blast--well worth the cost.Seeing a few movies at DTD is also an option since I haven't seen a movie in awhile. I haven't seen Avatar yet. There are a slew of romantic comedies coming out so I could go see one of those if I can put up with seeing couples making out...;)

So many, many options. TL is still my first choice. I'm trying to gauge my temperature threshold for going. If it's high 60s, it probably will be dead at TL. I can have the park to myself....

So I went shopping for shoes today... I can almost understand what women go through when they go shopping for shoes...I totally have this idea what kind of shoe I want. I have it in my head. Merrell, Keen, Ecco.....shoes I have purchased before. I know they have good quality shoes . I am brand loyal. I then walk into Nordstrom and am blinded by Puma shoes. I see like 3 shoes that I like. I pick 2 and bought one pair! So not what I was going to buy, but I love them....What just happened to me????!!!!!!! Ah...so this is what it's like to be a woman among shoes....;)

I am wearing them a ton so I can break them in before the trip....

Okay so we went ice skating with the youth group on Saturday. It was my first time in over 25 years...

I've got lots to do over the next 3 days!

3 days?????? 3 days!!!!!!!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Great update and love the shoes! Very nice. We were thinking of doing a miniature golf day too. Not sure when, we'll just play it by ear. We never have done it before so we thought it'd be nice to squeeze it in somewhere. I was keeping my eye on the weather for a hot day to do TL. I've been wanting to go there but we never do. It's always too cold in Feb. And in '08 I was sick. We are bringing suits just in case but I doubt it's going to happen.

Yes LOTS TO DO over the next 3 days. I'm doing laundry every day. Trying to catch up and then keep up until we leave. Since we are wearing jeans all week, I will need to wash all of our jeans the night before so we have every pair to bring with us. I feel like laundry is a never ending thing. I LOATHE THE LAUNDRY!!! :laundy:

I will do my best to get those pix. The burn off may be hard to get. I could probably get it on an evening EMH. I'm only there for one evening EMH at Epcot, but am not scheduled to be there....I'll be babysitting til late...I'll still try!

Take video of the burn off too...if you can. That would be something to see!

Fun-definitely!!!

Relaxing-can a WDW vacation be relaxing?;)

People watching can be pretty relaxing. :D

Nice sneakers! And I can't believe you live in just 2 days. Time has flown!

I hope the weather is a little warmer than they are predicting too ~ it's hard to pack for February in Florida, for sure! I won't go to a water park if it's less than 85 degrees so we didn't get that option on our tickets, but I hope you get to go.

I was planning to buy shoes last night also - and then I broke my toe. :scared1:

OH NO! How's it feeling? Can you walk okay on it?

TL looks beautiful and incredibly inviting in those pictures....:cloud9: I hope it warms up for you to go and enjoy it!

I likee your new shoes!!

no, it really really hurts - worse than when I broke my ankle. I'm wearing a croc at work today - a Texas A&M one at that. :lmao: I am heading to urgent care now to see what they can do to speed the healing or at least double check that we taped it up right. and maybe give me something for the pain other than advil and wine.

Told y'all I was clumsy. :rotfl2:

jordan, i saw others fear for you on the soles of the shoes not bending alot for walking, if you find that happening, i have always loved new balance, and they are great for walking in, have used those for the last few years, and they seem to break in really fast,

and usually kohls has them for around 40 bucks all the time.

How awful! Sending lots of pixie dust your way and hugs that it heals fast.:grouphug:
