Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

no, it really really hurts - worse than when I broke my ankle. I'm wearing a croc at work today - a Texas A&M one at that. :lmao: I am heading to urgent care now to see what they can do to speed the healing or at least double check that we taped it up right. and maybe give me something for the pain other than advil and wine.

Told y'all I was clumsy. :rotfl2:

Girl!
I'm so sorry you broke your toe. Well, you do have a week to get to the point where it doesn't hurt as much, and a hard shoe is better than a soft one if you can get into it. I'd say your touring in a good pair of tennis shoes my friend, that or you'll have to be in a chair. You should look into renting one from an outside place, that way you'll be sure to have one the whole time your there. Or you could use my daughters boot they gave her when she broke her foot, you'll love it! It has huge different colored jewels hot glued all over it! There's heart and flower shaped jewels, she wears a size 8-9 in women's so no trying to get out of it by saying her foot will be to small. :rotfl:

Nice update. You're getting close dude! The sneaks look good, hope they feel good. Dan mentioned New Balance, that's what I've gotten for my last 3 or 4 pairs, and they've worked for me.

Ice skating -- can't do it. I grew up roller skating, and never went ice skating until once when I was dating Judy (who can skate backwards and all that good stuff). Why in the world are the two so different? They look the same, but aren't!

Question for you: Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? I've never been to either, but would like to hit one this summer (planning TL for now). It looks like BB is a little more "adventurous", so I'm thinking TL may be good for us until the kids get a little older. It seems like you're a TL guy?

I was planning to buy shoes last night also - and then I broke my toe. :scared

Lol. Sounds about like me. I busted my pinky toe up 10 days before our trip back in 2008...on the wheel of the darn suitcase of all things. I ended up wearing Crocs the whole trip and taking adivl if I needed it.

How awful! Sending lots of pixie dust your way and hugs that it heals fast.:grouphug:

Thanks! The doctor said it should be better by then. Most of the damage is between my toes since I really hit in between my 4th and 5th toe on the corner of the futon leg.

Girl!

I told him when I was leaving and he said it should be feeling better by then, just ice, rest, tape and advil. He offered me vicodin but it makes me sick, the anti-inflammatories are fine for me (with a glass of wine as needed). I can already tell it's getting better, but you bet I will be in a good pair of hard/tennis shoes when we get there! If someone stepped on it I would probably deck them!

I can't imagine needing a chair by then, if I were leaving this week I'd probably be on the phone renting an ECV or something. Luckily my job is sedentary, just have to baby the foot until it's time to go.

And I'm a size 10, really a 10.5, so the boot would too small...although it sounds just my style! :rotfl:

Sorry for hijacking Jordan - I promised shoe talk, not toe talk! No high heeled crocs for me this trip!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with great timing! I am glad for the crocs even if they weren't too stylish at work today...if it weren't for the DIS and someone on the budget board or somewhere posting about a sale, I wouldn't have had them!

So for all you peeps going Feb 13-20...just look for the girl in the aggie shoes!

I was checking out your update... great pics of TL! (have any more?)

I think you can find some fun things to do if TL doesn't pan out. Have you considered going to *gasp* Sea World or US? How about going to Celebration? Or checking out a Magic game?

Mini-golf sounds fun. We were going to do that in October but by 11am it was already 90 out.. so we chilled at the pool instead. :beach:

Love the kicks! Love pumas for that matter.

Jeff bought a pair for our trip to Italy, didn't wear them at all before and had zero issues!

Good park (and all around) shoes. He still lives in his (though really needs a new pair)

:thumbsup2

I really like these shoes. They're comfortable. I wore them all day and didn't have any issues, but of course I was sitting most of the day.

Thanks for the good review:thumbsup2

Whew! Just in the nic of time! I didn't know if this was going to happen. I'm glad you like your new shoes. It's funny how styles come back.

I know. It is something that wasn't even on my radar, but I really like them.

No! Don't be sorry! I forget your weekends are pretty much not your own like they are for the rest of us. I'm so excited you get to go on your trip and have some good down time. :woohoo:

I can't wait to SLEEP.

Millie said:
Stop that! NO more bugs!! Just keep resting.

I'm trying to rest...but people are pulling me in 100's of different directions right now.

I hope the weather cooperates for you and you get some warmer days during your trip. :thumbsup2

And not all women feel that way about shoes. Just sayin'. ;)

If I don't get back here, have a wonderful trip Jordan and Wendy! :goodvibes

right now my TL day is forecasted to be a 75 degree day. i am hoping it stays that way.

i thought all women LOVED shoes.;)

thanks carissa.

Nice shoes! :thumbsup2 Hopefully the weather will warm up and you will get some time at TL! It would be a shame to not be able to go when you love it there so much!

Three days is sure to fly by!!! I bet you are getting beside yourself with excitement!

I hope so too. I may go anyway if it's open. I know they close it if it's cold.

I am very excited, but super busy with work right now trying to get ready to leave.

2 DAYS  , I am so JEALOUS!!! It is 9 degrees here so 60 sounds pretty good to me but I really hope it gets in the mid 70's cause TL is AWESOME and something tells me your tr about it would leave me in tears, no pressure :rotfl:

Love the shoes!!!:Hope they are as comfy as they look!!

Have a Blast and can't wait for your TR
:cheer2:

The weather there will be very similar to here. 60s during the day and 40's/50s in the evening.

The shoes are very comfortable!:thumbsup2

nice shoes! :thumbsup2 i always see shoes i want when i don't have the money to spend on them. then when i have it i can't find anything! it's really annoying.

3 days!!!!!! :dance3:

It was a great moment because I was about to give up and then I just said "what the heck. I'll just go to see what Nordstrom has."

72 hours from now I'll be in the air....:thumbsup2

Josh, I don't want to be the
"bearer of bad news about your Puma's"
but the sole of the shoes don't bend.
My sons and dh wear DC's, Ecko's, etc.,
and they complain that their legs hurt after long
walks with those style of shoes. The shoes are fine
if you are going somewhere for a few hours, but not
long days in a park.
But maybe it will be okay for you, but I just wanted to let you know.
So, I expect a good shoe report when you return.

Do you do TL solo?
If it is warm enough on my Friday,
I may go there for a few hours before I have to pick my dh up-he is a non water park person and I know he would tell me to go, when he don't have to be there.

Thanks for the heads up on the shoes. I have my flip flops and another pair of shoes as a back up in case they give me problems.

I do TL solo for sure. I don't mind going by myself. I just sleep and grab an innertube on Castaway Creek. It's a little bit of heaven.:cloud9:

:banana::banana::banana: 3 days!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Love the new sneakers. The colors are great.
Ahhh Typhoon Lagoon looks so relaxing. So much more appealing right now than teaching the joy of multiplication.

I know Jenn!!!!!

I like the colors too!

TL is so inviting. I just hope I get to go. I'm thinking I'll go over even if it's just to take pix!

TL much better than math....

Jordan, your new tennies rock! You will look very young and hip (and Inow probably sound old). I've heard that if the shoe fits and feels really good then it doesn't really need to be broken in.

I feel 10 years younger in them. I just wish I WAS 10 years younger....5 years younger would even be okay.
