What would be a good estimate of steps for 1 mile? If you did 5000, 8000 steps a day what would that be equvilent to?

I think it depends on your gate. For me 10,000 steps is a little over 5 miles, so I try (and usually fail) to get in 15,000 a day

I walk 2 miles on the treadmill and it usually comes to around 5,000 steps.

I can't seem to ever get to 10,000 on a regular basis.
