I just recently started getting pedicures this summer. I live in a cold and snowy climate. How do you all get pedicures in the winter? Do I wear pants that can be hiked up? A skirt??? What about putting socks and shoes back on to go to the car? I can't wear flip flops in the snow. ;)

I get Ped's use round - I have been known to leave the salon in flip flops and trudge thru the snow to get to my car.;) I actually get Ped's more often in the winter because my feet get so dry. The past winter I had gel put on my toes - it cures under a black light of some sort and so "wet polish" is not an issue.

I live in the desert...;)

I sit under the "light" until I can put socks and shoes on. Take a book. It's relaxing.

I usually wear jeans and socks with boots. Roll up the jeans. Keep under the lights until dry. Then gently put socks & shoes back on. Prefer boots as they don't rub toes as much just in case.

I have a pair of "pedi socks". I took an old pair of socks and cut off the toes. That way I can wear flip flops and my feet won't freeze.

I envy you. I am my husband will understand that I have to move to Florida so that my pedicure is easier :rotfl: .

Well, that and WDW!

Seriously, when I lived in Colorado I would just go in flips. Even in winter. Even if there is snow - most sidewalks and such were fairly clear. And it was only for as long as it took to run to my car.

I usually wear flip flops, even in winter. Usually the sidewlks and such are clear...it's not like I have to trudge up the side of a mountain for a pedi! ;)

One place I used to go used to put Saran wrap over your toes, then put your socks and shoes on. For whatever reason, the Saran kept the pedi from smudging.

As fpr pants, I have these casual knit sort of pants that have some stretch in them so I can easily roll them up to my knees...kind of like a yoga pant.

I just wait until my polish is dry to the touch and then put some oil on my nails, put on socks and shoes and I'm good.

It's also a great reason to get a mani/pedi, your toes will dry while you are getting your manicure :goodvibes
