Pecos Bills-Ruined or not?

We ate there last January 3 times and the food was fine. We enjoyed our burgers and fires and loved the topping bar with cheese sauce. The last time the bun did seem a bit stale but we'll definately try it again on our next trip. We actually liked the seat :thumbsup2

We ate at Pecos Bills again last week and enjoyed as much as we had in the past. The wheat buns are not a big deal for us since that is what we buy at home.

I ate there a few weeks ago. I don't do burgers, so I can't comment on the first question, but I'm pretty sure my seat had a back.

I wasn't happy with my Taco Salad from Pecos Bill's though. Handing me an empty tortilla bowl and telling me to make my own salad out of hamburger toppings is not worth $8.50 in my opinion...

More of my thoughts about the restaurant on my blog:

Same experience in July. It was so awful, the only thing I PB'd on (lapband) the whole two weeks! Never again!

Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like a noticeable difference. I really liked the Angus burger much better than I expected. It was MILES above the horrendous ABC Commissary burger for sure. (Another place I don't eat, but I didn't have a choice if I wanted to be social.)
I agree, I had the angus burger in April and thought it was awesome.

Oh no! Are there any other differences between the wheat buns and old buns besides them falling apart?

IMO the buns for the hot dogs are were you really notice how awful the faux wheat buns are. On a sandwich they can sometimes be more dry and fall apart, but sometimes you get a good one. The ruin a hot dog though:sick:

We ate there both in June and August and I have to say our buns were soft and moist, and the the fixings area was great! The burger was hot when in the past I've had it a little luke warm, I was happy. We were starved, I find that being really hungry can sometime elevate a dining experience!

We had lunch there in Aug.
They had stools with no backs - didn't care because I was just thankful to be sitting down out of the heat.;)
They also had dry, wheat buns that fell apart - didn't care because the burger was so dry and icky that I couldn't eat it anyway. :headache:

We had burgers there in Sept. and I thought they were pretty bad (because of the buns). Not at all like they were in the past. My daughter and I both commented on it!
