Peanut Sauce??

Hi -

I love all your great recipes.. and I'm such a *new* cook I don't have anything to add.. YET!

ANyhow.. I'm trying to put a new spin on one of our favorites.. Chinese Chicken Salad, and was wondering if any of you have a good (but easy) recipe for Peanut Sauce!

No recipes for peanut sauce here, but it is easy to find in a supermarket, should be with all the other Asian sauces.

I got this recipe from AllRecipes.com I've never used it myself - I just went to their site & entered "peanut" for a search. This recipe is listed as "Easiest peanut sauce for Chinese style cooking" - so it may do for what you want.

Best Peanut Sauce

Ingredients
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 Tbl soy sauce
2 tsp white sugar
2 drops hot pepper sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup water

Directions:
In a small bowl, stir together peanut butter, soy sauce, sugar, hot pepper sauce and garlic until well mixed. Gradually stir in water until texture is smooth and creamy.
Makes 1 cup

Thai Peanut Sauce

3 1/2 tablespoons peanut butter
3 tablespoons brewed tea
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons chili oil
1 tablespoon ginger
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil


Combine first 8 ingredients in a blender (peanut butter to sesame oil),
process until smooth.

I've used this one.
Peanut sauce
1/4 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp. brown sugar 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. crushed red chili peppers
1/4tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove minced
Mix in saucepan. Simmer 5 minutes. Makes 3/4 cup.
