I'm posting on this on the DISABILITIES and RESTAURANTS site -
My DN will be travelling with us to WDW in August. He has a severe peanut allergy. Can anyone point me to a thread or site that includes nutritional information for Disney restaurants/CS/snack kiosks so that we know what is safe for him to eat?
Thanks in advance!!

Here is the link to info from Disney's website

and from here on the Dis (wdwinfo)

Basically, you will call to make your ADR's and tell them about the allergy. When you get to the restaurant, you will remind them of the allergy and then the Chef should come out to talk to you about the allergy.

Disney is very good at dealing with food allergies, and even as a family without them (noted) we've been asked at many of the restaurants before being seated if anyone in our party had a food allergy. I've seen the Chefs come out, I've seen managers called to the counter (by CM's) at CS restaurants to make sure that guests were taken care of safely :thumbsup2

asks that you call their dining line, email them at SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com or call (407) 824-5967.

Food Allergies and Intolerances
Walt Disney World Resort table service restaurants that accept reservations can accommodate most food allergies and food intolerances—such as gluten or wheat, shellfish, soy, lactose or milk, peanuts, tree nuts, fish or eggs—if requested at least 48 hours in advance by calling (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

If you have multiple allergies, please contact one of our representatives before you finalize your trip to Walt Disney World Resort to discuss your allergies, as we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet your requests. Please note we do not have separate kitchens to prepare allergen free items or separate dining areas for Guests with allergies to dine.

Making a Special Dietary Request for Table Service Locations
To make a special dietary request, call the Disney's Dining Reservation Center at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

* Indicate to the Cast Member at Disney's Dining Reservation Center your special dietary requests.
* Know that your special dietary request will be noted by the Cast Member on your reservation.
* Write down the dining location phone number(s) that the Cast Member provides you, as well as your reservation number and the day and time of your reservation.
* Contact your dining location at least 14 days in advance to discuss your special dietary request with the chef, manager or food and beverage representative.
* Please feel welcome to speak to the chef or manager on duty when you arrive at your dining location.

Disney is very responsive to allergies and has a great deal of experience. If you are not satisfied with the help you get on the regular line, call the special line or email them.

My son, age 2, has a sever anaphylactic peanut allergy. I am always prepared with an Epi-pen, but also carry one-dose Benadryl "shots" too. Disney has always been wonderful. We just inform the of the situation and they are accomdating. Just be careful of sauces, etc..you never know. Also sometimes milkshake machines are used for all Ice Cream flavors( at Beaches and Cream for ex.). When in doubt.. just ask! CMs are usually quite accomdating. Hope you have a wonderful trip!!

Thanks so much for all the quick responses. I emailed the information to my SIL and we'll make all the calls.
Thanks again!!:grouphug:
