Peanut allergy - advice?

Has anyone with a Peanut allergic child ever gone to a major league baseball game? We took our 5yo son last year, and didn't give it a thought until he was getting out of the car and spotted peanut shells in the parking lot. They were everywhere once we got in the stadium. I wiped down his seat, but I was very uncomfortable the entire time we were there. I don't know if we should go again (going to Phillies games was a big party of my childhood, it breaks my heart that my boys can't do that)-- I don't know if it's over the top not to go to baseball games-- anyone have any experience with this. Of course I had the pens with us and the Benedryl tabs-- but I just couldn't relax there.

DD6 has life threatening peanut allergies. We were at a Sox game this past summer and the family behind us was eating peanuts and throwing them behind us. I politiely asked the mom if they could not eat the peanuts, I showed her the EPI jr. pen and gave her $10 for new snacks for her family. She was a wonderful woman, took the nuts from her kids, said she understood and did not take my money.

DD wears her allergy like a badge of honor - EVERYONE she comes in contact with, she tells them about her nut allergy. She has life threatening to peanuts and severe to pecans and almonds, so the allergist just told her that she is allergic to all nuts.

Poor thing is allergic to shell fish too (not life threatening). She has an allergist appt in a couple weeks - hopefully she outgrew something. Its been a year and 1/2 since her last test.
