I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times, but I couldn't find it in the searches... If we are going in June and paying OOP, do we have to pay the peak prices for food at TS restaurants? I have noticed that there are several buffets and character things, etc. that charge extra but I thought that was for Christmas, etc. Now I see Disney is charging more for the dining plan all summer long...???? This is getting ridiculous...

Disney charges the surcharge whenever it feels like it.I think the seasonal surchargs tend to run from May thru Mid July, so if that is the case, YES you will have to pay it.There is no way around it

We paid the peak surcharge on both of our June trips - 2008 and 2009 - both were mid-June, around the 12-20th time frame.

Yes, you should see peak surcharges on fixed-price restaurants in June. It applies to all fixed-price restaurants (buffets, family style all you can eat, CRT and Akershus) that are operated by Disney (I can't recall if it also applies to dinner shows)

During peak season do they also up the pricing in a la carte TS restaurants (such as Sci Fi, Mama Melrose, La Hacienda, Coral Reef etc)?
