My in-laws have generously offered their timeshare week for our (possible) trip next month to Disneyland. We would have a week stay at the Peacock Suites in the 1 Room King Suite. I'm busy reading reviews, but wanting to know:

1) what is their included breakfast is like (we have a dairy allergy in our group).?
2) Are there any decent restaurants close by (within 5 minute walk)?
3) Any grocery stores within a 5-10 minute walk?
4) are there elevators?
5) how large are the refrigerators?

1) what is their included breakfast is like (we have a dairy allergy in our group).? I have no idea if they can accommodate your dairy allergy, the breakfast is pretty basic but filling enough. Fruit (apples, oranges), cereal, pastries, hard boiled eggs, you can make your own toast too. Like I said, basic, but filling enough.
2) Are there any decent restaurants close by (within 5 minute walk)? the Peacock is right around the corner from the GardenWalk so yes, there are plenty of restaurants close by, Johnny Rockett's, PJ Chang's, CA Pizza Kitchen, Bubba Gump's, Cheesecake Factory, and many many more.
3) Any grocery stores within a 5-10 minute walk? No, no grocery stores in walking distance, we go to Target for our grocery basics, but we always have a car so it isn't a big deal. I believe that you can take a bus to the Target but the hotel can help you with that.
4) are there elevators? yes
5) how large are the refrigerators?
Kind of small, I mean they aren't a full size fridge but they are bigger than the majority of hotel fridges, but still small. You can put some food in it though.

We have stayed at the Peacock many times, if you have any further questions let me know. :)

I'm here right now. Been here for ten days.

There is no included breakfast anymore. They changed the breakfast room into a time share selling place. If you go for their talk they let you eat.

Lots of restaurants and many more places deliver for free. We've had pizza and chinese delivered.

It cost me about 16 bucks round trip to get a taxi to the Vons and we walked it one night but it took nearly 30 minutes. You can take the ART to the Disneyland hub and then take the #1 down to the Target. Its basically door to door excluding the bus change.

We got two 4 liter milks in the fridge, many sodas and a bunch of small food items.

The fridge's are about hip high and actually do hold quite a bit. Last trip I actually kept ice cream in the freezer section and it kept it frozen although I have had another trip where I didn't think it would fit in the freezer section and they very kindly let me store it in the freezer by the office and got it for me whenever I wanted it. It's kind of a tradition to go to Rite Aid now and by Thrifty's Chocolate Malted Crunch. So yummy.

There is a 7-11 right on the corner. It's a couple minute walk from the lobby. There is also a Neighborhood Walmart down the street the opposite way from Vons. I thought the prices were better there and it is actually 1 mile instead of 1.2 miles, so slightly closer.

I've also stayed at the Peacock Suites multiple times like pixiewings so feel free to ask any other questions.

Well...that's lame....

When I spoke to my in-laws timeshare place today they still have the breakfast listed. I told her that according to my friendly Dis'ers it was no longer included and she said she would trust what you guys said over her information (which she did say was only a month old)

We are timeshare owners as well and have stayed here a few times and will be there again next February. I did read online that the breakfast is no longer. I believe it was in some recent reviews on Tripadvisor where I read that.

We are officially booked (yikes!)

A couple more questions (if you know)
1) Are the cribs actual cribs, or pack n plays? (I like to bring my own sheets for baby so it smells like home)
2) What is the "kitchenette" specifically equipped with? Any dishes or silverware? Or should i plan to purchase plastic cutlery and paper plates/bowls if we plan to eat in the room at all?

I have no clue about the crib so hopefully someone else can chime in on that.

There are plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. Every room I have been in except the king accessible has had a sink for dishes as well.

Sorry, no idea on the crib, the girls were 6 & 9 our first trip to DL so no need for a crib. :) If you don't get an answer here just call them, they will tell you.

And yes, as Tasscrapper said, they have real dishes and silverware. Glasses, mugs, a few small pots and pans, serving bowls, they will have things like salt & pepper and there will be a sponge and dish soap to clean the dishes you use. They added a small kitchen sink area when they remodeled, which was nice because before you had to wash your dishes in the bathroom sink. lol

That is good to know since many of the reviews I've been reading online note the lack of a sink. I was hoping to have the necessities for cereal and making PB&J sandwiches to take into the parks. And I will be calling the hotel at some point, the timeshare company said to give them a few days to receive the reservation before I call to add any notes to the room (i.e. need for a crib).
