PE Upstairs or Downstairs

As I have upgraded just wondered what people think is best upstairs in the bubble or downstairs behind first class?

Not experienced this myself, but from reading the opinion of others they recommend upstairs, being quieter and more select.

What is the seating upstairs is it 2 + 2? we are thinking of doing this next year but we are 2 adults and 3 children so if its 2 + 2 might be a bit difficult

Yes, it's 2+2 upstairs. Downstairs it's 2+4+2 if I remember correctly so I guess you could go for 3+2 across the aisle.

Upstairs is a million miles better - think 'private function room' rather than just a curtained-off section between UC and Economy. Downstairs is just Econcomy with bigger seats. Even with a party of 5, I would still opt for upstairs.

Upstairs is definitely quieter and nicer, why I rejected the chance to sit up there on our return flight in August in favour of PE downstairs I really don't know.

Possibly wanted us all to be sat together, which despite being assured at check in that we were, we were not!

Upstairs for sure. Downstairs, you get people disturbing you for a quick nose around and if I remember correctly, people kept using the toilet from economy.

Definitely true, not so much on the return flight but definitely Outbound.

Last time we flew PE this was definitely true - probably because of the 4 toilets that were supposed to be available to Economy passengers, only 1 was operational BOTH WAYS.
