I think I am coming out of the dark ages, and want to get a pda. I don't really need to use it as a phone too as I already have a cell phone now. but I suppose in the future i may.
but i mainly want to put medical apps in it to use at work.

there are so many choices, and I know nothing about all of this. I just started researching, so I am getting a small clue, but really would love to know what you use and what you like and dislike about it.
:)

I got a blackberry pearl about amonth ago-i had resisted -but my old phone needed replacing and i could get a deal from verizon. Things i love-it has a full version of yahoo-just like my computer-except for webcams of course-hubby is in iraq and we are on opposite shifts-so i can talk to him when ever he is able to get on line-we dont have to schedule it. The web browser-i travel alot so being able to check flights and do things like my time sheet remotely are awesome. What i dont like-battery life is horrible.
Everyone i know who has an iphone loves it-but they are spendy.

I have the Palm Pre. Love it!

Since it is brand new, it still doesn't have a lot of apps available and is experiencing the typical growing pains, but what it does have is extraordinary and the potential of what is still to come is amazing.

DH has the Blackberry Storm and loves it. I think he would curl up and die if he had to go back to a regular cellphone again.

Iphone, it's awesome, like they say there is an app for everything..

I have a Samsung I-760. It's has Windows Mobile and runs Internet Explorer for web access. There are also loads of applications out there for Windows Mobile including medical apps - see handango.com

If you don't need or want the phone function you could go for the Ipod Touch. It runs pretty much all of the Iphone apps. It has wifi capabilities, there are apps that can sync to google calendars and is just very cool overall. I love mine if you couldn't tell....

Thanks for all the suggestions!

beavismom .....the Itouch is what I decided on :thumbsup2
went to best buy the other evening and looked at it, what a cool gadget!

I think it will suit me perfectly for what I want to use it for

I am sure you will love it. If you use Google Calendar you can sync it with the touch using the Calengoo app from the Itunes app store. I also love the game Peggle... very addicting. I not so secretly long for an Iphone, but can't justify the increase in expense. I love that so many places have free wifi now though.
