PBH - Garden or Bay View

DH and I are planning our first trip to Universal next year - we're newbies and would like to know ..... are the bay view rooms worth the extra cost? Realize with the "garden" view we could be looking at a parking lot, etc, but also figure we'll be at the parks a good portion of the time. Then again, it would be nice to look out on the bay. Would appreciate hearing other's opinions/experiences. Thanks for your help

I would definitely go bay over garden. There are some garden views that overlook the pool but you could have a view of anything from landscaping to parking lots. I just really love having a view of the bay and HRH in the distance. Whichever view you end up choosing, request a room in the west wing. It's the closest to the water taxi and very convenient to the pool.

My first stay at PBH was for a garden room but I was upgraded to Bay View. It depends on when you are going but that upgrade is pretty common in the value season. Join the Loews First and you'll have a better chance at an upgrade.

We have had both...garden and bay view rooms. I can say..we love them both. PBH is one of our favorite resorts and we are always just thrilled to be there.

What is the price differece? PB is good at upgrades if they are not busy. The deluxe rooms offer garden and villa pool views and we are always happy with them.

Right now the only discount available for my dates is AAA -- price would be 227 for a garden view and 243 for a bay view. I'm leaning toward doing the bay view - looks like it would be worth the $16. Any other thoughts?
